This is such a unique and beautiful wedding, we'd had a huge amount of fun with Debbie & Liam planning their flowers for this gorgeous day, we'd seen them both at weddings earlier in the year and knew them (and they are gorgeous) and their group of friends well, which is always a very good start.
As many of you will know we always work hard to include some key flowers and materials that are significant to our bridal couples, for Debbie & Liam we had a few very clear ideas, not least their married name of 'King'. I introduced Debbie & Liam to magnificent King Proteas, thankfully they absolutely adored them and they quickly became their signature flower, they also wanted to be respectful to the date of their wedding 11th November so we included fresh Poppy seed heads in the Groom's Boutonniere and the Bridal Bouquet.
n.b. I don't always mention particularly sensitive flower choices, as so often these things are private and not for 'blog posts' but do know this, every bouquet includes some truly personal and evocative blooms or foliages that mean something important to our couples.
When Debbie & Liam came in to view their sample bridal designs it was the first time they'd seen King Protea in real life, it was such a relief to show them off and to find they loved them xxx
