I have a little "Blog Posting"catching up to do, I thought I may have a chance on holiday last week but I just couldn't get a good enough wifi connection, so apologies for the tardiness of my postings...

Today's posting features the beautiful wedding of Kelly & Christopher, so much thought, care and preparation went into this stunning day, we all loved Kelly's fabulous Mood Board which inspired our work so much
Kelly along with her lovely Mum and Bridesmaids were all getting ready in "The Bridal Lodge" which is where Ruby and Josie presented our Bridal Bouquets
Ruby introduced our beautiful Bride to the flowers in her bouquet
The all important FD Events Bridal Bouquet carrying lesson
Kelly's own vintage brooch was attached to the handle of the bouquet
The brilliant Sonara Parker MUA was applying Kelly's make up expertly
The Bridal Bouquet included a breathtakingly beautiful collection of vintage Roses including Bombastic, Quicksand, Memory Lane, Amnesia, 4 Good, Safi Blue, Sweet Avalanche and Vendella together with some ivory Peonies, Sweet Peas and Senecio
As ever Samlesbury Hall looked welcoming, with a collection of our candlelit Lanterns lining the pathway, I've been coming to Samlesbury Hall for all of my working life (an awfully long time!!) and I still get a frisson of excitement when ever we get the opportunity to dress it florally for a wedding
A Vintage Bike decorated the entrance we'd filled the basket with a plethora of fresh flowers
Inside this wonderfully atmospheric building; Samlesbury Hall, The Whittaker Room was dressed perfectly, our candlelit Baroque Candelabras framed the Registrars table, candlelit Hurricane Lamps and Rose Petals decorated the aisle and a collection of candles, bottles and jars filled with posies of fresh flowers decorated the windowsills
The Registrars table was decorated with a quirky collection of vintage coffee pots, cups and saucers, Jam Jars and cream jugs each filled with a posy of fresh fragrant blooms, Blackberries and herbs
Strings of pearls were draped around the Candelabra perfectly adding to the vintage vibe
The bottles and jars around the room were each filled with a posy of floral loveliness

Ruby & Josie lined up the Corsages and Boutonnieres read to pin them on to the all important guests as they arrived
The Groom's Boutonniere featured a collection of Vintage Roses, Sweet Peas, Blackberries, fresh Rosemary and Thalaspi, the stem was bound with lace and tied with jute to match his Bride's Bouquet
The Groom's Men's Boutonnieres were all different yet all complimented the themes of the day
Inside the parlour one of our Enchanted Trees welcomed the guests as they arrived

Kelly and Chris had gone "all out" on the detailed little touches, they really made Samlesbury Hall their own

Kelly's beautiful Bridesmaids were wearing a vintage pink shade, they were wearing Gypsophilia in their hair and carried bouquets created as a smaller version of the Bridal Bouquet

The Great Hall at Samlesbury Hall is such a spectacular space, the tables were all dressed with a unique design, in a soft romantic, vintage style...
