We are a team of florists specialising in Weddings & Events, this is our story a journal of Flowers & Magical Memorable Days...

Oh we've laughed and we've cried with this amazing family, such an emotional time filled to bursting with love and adoration (& flowers), sometimes you meet people and you realise what a privilege it is to the job we do, to be so involved in their stories at an important time of their lives, to literally share in their joy really is a huge honour, I along with our fabulous FD Team loved creating flowers for these two beautiful people, I can promise without exception everything we made was created with huge hearts and big love for the whole family, I have adored re-visiting this seriously special day, it's been like completing a fabulous book with a really happy ending, thank you!!!!...
So following on from our very first riotous meeting where all sorts of things were chatted about and we all got to know each other, we arranged to get together again with Katie, David and Kevin & Julie the Bride's fabulous parents to discuss this wonderful and superbly executed Mood Board
We put together a Flower Palette, a suggestion of the blend of flowers we'd be using to compliment their spectacular mood board, I'd included fresh Love in the Mist, Dill, Blue Hydrangeas, Quicksand Roses, White Peonies and Forget Me Nots, there would be further additions once we were closer to their wedding date...
We met up again a few weeks before the big day to present a glorious set of sample Bridal Designs including a beautiful sample wedding bouquet for Katie and a Boutonniere for David

We created some sample ideas for their table centres and finalised plans for the day itself, working out logistics and timings
An idea for the top table
A suggestion to utilise the Bridal Bouquets
A sample of our Baroque Candelabra, we make these sample designs to show an over view of the look we're going for, nothing can ever be re-created exactly but it helps us all to understand the bits that are important, how big things are, what they smell like, to have foliage or not, more or less colour etc etc
Before we knew it, their wedding day had arrived and Jason had the huge pleasure of presenting the Bridal Bouquets to our ridiculously gorgeous (& emotional) Bride the lovely Katie and her fabulous Bridesmaids Sarah & Hannah, Jason showed this bevvy of beauty how to carry their bouquets perfectly xxx
This really was a heavenly wedding bouquet packed with stunning sweet scented, summer flowers in soft shades of blue, ivory and nude tones, I'd included white Peonies, Love in the Mist, Delphiniums, Sweet Peas, Roses, Poppy Seed Heads, Freesia, Forget Me Nots and Hydrangeas with foliages and fresh Herbs.

Loved everyone's hair by Kelly & Natalie from Sam Taylor in Lytham and their make up was by the lovely Sonara Parker
Downstairs in the ceremony room at the magical Eaves Hall the scene was set with our candlelit Hurricane Lanterns surrounded by 'puddles' of fresh fragrant Rose Petals, we arrange them in this way to reflect the natural way that Rose petals fall from a Rose, the closer the fresh petals are to the lantern the headier the fragrance, personally, I'm not too keen on the artificial tram lines of petals it looks very un-natural unlike the romantic and fragranced atmosphere this creates.

Framing the Registrars table were two of our magnificently tall and elegant Delphinium dominated pedestals, these two placements historically are designed to represent the Bride & Groom's 'Guardian Angels' they are there to protect their vows and guard their love from evil spirits, flower placements like this are used in all sorts of marriage ceremonies across the globe, transcending religious and cultural differences, they are always fresh and alive to reflect the life force in their love.

Tall upwardly striving Delphiniums towered over the ceremony space so magnificently

Posies of Roses, Hydrangeas and Gypsophilia dressed the small Registrars table so beautifully, we'd chosen the low round 'bulb' vases to follow the shape of the table.
We are always impressed with a 'pressed' table cloth, Eaves Hall really have this nailed beautifully crisp table linens are standard here and very much appreciated!

Katie's super handsome 'blue eyed' Bride Groom was first to have his rather special boutonniere pinned to his lapel, we loved his suit from Whitfield and Ward and we'd designed his Delphinium & Rose Bud Boutonniere to compliment his tie, jacket, waistcoat and pocket square combination
Jason pinned on all of the boutonnieres and corsages ensuring each one was positioned perfectly

The Bride Groom's seriously proud parents Julie & Stephen
We'd made each corsage to match the ladies outfits perfectly

The Bride's seriously glamorous Mum Julie, we'd created her corsage to compliment her oyster ensemble

The Bridesmaids looked heavenly in their platinum coloured gowns by Kelsey Rose from The Dressing Room in Garstang
The absolute star of the show the breathtakingly beautiful Katie wearing Gabriella by Kenneth Winston from the great folks at Lulu Browns

The Bridesmaids bouquets were created to compliment their platinum gowns and included Blue Delphiniums, White Peonies, Nude Roses, Freesia, Poppy Seed Heads and Sweet Peas

Bridal bouquets carried in just the right place help to create the perfect silhouette, the elongate the body and ensure a perfect posture xxx
Katie with her amazing Dad such a proud moment xxxx
Take a deep breath and savour the moment Katie!!! xxxxx
    ...and they're in...

The professional photographer for the day was the super lovely Nick English, we really love working with him
Jason was so into the ceremony, he forgot to take pictures, I actually love that fact, we were all so invested in this day that we had to toss coins to decide who was going, Jason was of course the winner, we were all very envious of him!!! xxxx

Huge & Ginormous Congratulations to Katie & David from all of the team here at Flower Design Events

    Too gorgeous for words!!!xx

Love this moment!!!! xxxx You did it guys!!!xxx

Beautiful pale blue and nude bridal bouquet of Roses, Peonies, Forget Me Nots, Love in the Mist, Sweet Peas, Freesia, Poppy Seed Heads, Delphiniums and Hydrangeas with fresh fragrant herbs and foliages.

Whilst our Bride & Groom were being congratulated and everyone enjoyed the drinks reception a transformation was taking place the dining room which was now dressed for a sophisticated wedding breakfast, tables were decorated with a combination of high and low table centrepieces
Our super tall conical vases were topped with a floral explosion in shades of pale blue, ivory and nude shades, the view across the table was un-hindered and allowed a relatively clear look across to the Top Table.
Some of the tables were dressed with our Baroque Candelabras, which later as the light dimmed would provide a romantic back drop to to the evening festivities.

The Top Table looked lovely decorated with posies of fresh flowers set on a row of mirror tiles

Posies of fresh flowers surrounded the Bridesmaids bouquets on a couple of the tables ensuring that their gorgeousness was fully enjoyed

The top table flowers looked so pretty in our round 'bulb vases' they were illuminated by our mirrpored tea light votives

The Bride's Bouquet was placed in a vase in the centre of the top table just between our Bride & Groom forming the perfect focal point

It was lovely to see the super talented Howard Wing all ready to entertain everyone xx

Massive thanks to Katie and David and both of their fabulous families for choosing Flower Design Events to create their wedding flowers we've loved every second xxx

We really enjoyed creating the wedding flowers for Katrina & Scott's big day over at The Daffodil Hotel & Spa in Grasmere, they had loads of ideas, bags of details and a myriad of wedding suppliers involved in their complex plans for their Lake District Wedding Day: Gavin from GJP Photo in Carlisle, The Church Mouse supplied their Cheese Tower, Linda and her team from Sophisticated Events provided venue dressing as did Catherine from The Purple Swan, The Bride's Gallery in Heskin supplied Katrina's Kenneth Winston Gown, Little Mistress supplied the Bridesmaid's Gowns, the fabulous Sonara Parker was responsible for make up & the sensational Agent Smith Band provided the entertainment.

I have been editing photographs and writing for my blog posts every day of this year (it's only 10th January) and if I'm honest I'm not made for sitting in front of a computer, but and this is a big but, I am having fun. It's January, it's cold, flowers are precious and scarce and here I am basking in the summer sunshine re-visiting these glorious weddings, re-living some of the very best moments of 2017 and I am loving every second. It's amazing how a few snaps bring back a flood of memories so good I can almost smell the flowers, it's wonderful too, to see our beautiful Brides and their handsome Groom's, to re-acquaint myself with their fabulous families, after all we invest a lot in our relationships with them all, it's how we manage to make our flowers so deeply personal.
The flowers we make are steeped in personal stories, family history, traditions, heritage and of course personality, we can't figure all that stuff out with one appointment, there has to be at least three, so here's our tale of Helen & Jamie's wedding flowers, it's a long one so brace yourselves...
So the lovely Helen first Face Book messaged me back in August 2016, she sent me a list of designs she knew she wanted along with some images to help me understand her vision, I responded suggesting a get together to discuss  her ideas further and to work out some costings properly.
We met up again in February when Helen & Jamie had put together an extensive mood board, they had made some firm plans by this time and had a clearer idea of the direction they wanted their flowers to go in. Together we prepared a fully itemised quotation for them, an on line file that we could both add information to, we left no stone un-turned.
We put together a virtual flower palette for them, in line with their mood board and budget including Helen's beloved Peonies and some gorgeous English Garden Rose and Tea Roses with fresh white Hydrangeas
We got together again in April at their family Church St Annes in Turton, this time we met up with Helen, Helen's chief Bridesmaid and sister Elizabeth, her fabulous Mum Mary & Jamie's Mum Alma, we worked out logistics, we were introduced to the 'Church Flower Lady' discussed possibilities of dressing the huge Lych Gate and Helen's Grandma's pedestal stand.
At the end of June we invited them back to FD HQ to see a set of sample Bridal designs prepared exclusively for them, we'd made a beautiful bridal bouquet of Blush Pink & Ivory Peonies, 'Keira' English Garden Roses by David Austin, fresh Jasmine, Lily of the Valley, Sweet Peas and Astilbe.
We made a sample Boutonniere for Jamie to see

We created some table centrepiece ideas too, all of them to fit their mood board, their brief and their budget
Although they loved their sample designs, Helen was in a turmoil regarding the colours and by the end of this appointment it was decided that we should dilute the pink and concentrate the balance of colour towards the white and ivory shades with just the slightest hint of blush...

On the big day, Shirl & I were in Bolton to make the bouquet presentation, a closed road as we came off the motorway had increased the tension and my nerves were jangling, I don't mind saying that following the colour change I was slightly trepidatious and when I pulled back the FD tissue to reveal Helen's wedding bouquets no-one was more relieved than me by her reaction!!!! ...

The FD box was filled to bursting with glorious bridal bouquets of pale ivory and blush pink Peonies, White Hydrangeas and Garden Roses from David Austin

This moment is worth all of the worry and all of the sleepless nights...

We'd finished the handle with our 'Lovers knot' binding

I showed everyone how to carry their bouquets perfectly, I do love a back garden FD bouquet carrying tutorial...
The beautiful wedding bouquet in palest shades of ivory and blush

My great friend the fabulous Duncan Fisher was responsible for doing the girls hair and what a spectacular job he did too. The lovely Danielle Entwistle MUA did everyone's beautiful make up too.

Shirl & I headed off to St Annes Church in Turton and how different it looked with all of the leaves on the trees we'd decided that a couple of small swags on the gate would be perfect given the amount of foliage around the gate itself.
Swags of sweet scented Stocks, Roses and Hydrangeas provided a fragranced welcome for the guests as they arrived at Church
Inside this beautiful and huge church we'd framed the internal arch with two full and voluptuous pedestals of Roses, Peonies, Hydrangeas and sweet scented stocks
Helen's Grandma's pedestal stand in the foreground was also decorated with fresh Roses, Peonies and Hydrangeas

The pew ends were dressed with posies of Bombastic and Avalanche Roses with Hydrangeas arranged in our silver mercury vases tied on with ivory satin ribbon

In the porch area I had allocated some space for the boxes of Boutonnieres and Corsages
I lined the boutonnieres up ready to pin them on to Jamie and his Groom's Men
The Groom's Mum's Corsage created for the lovely Alma to tone with her ivory, grey and blush pink ensemble

For the fabulous Bride's Mum Mary we used her favourite flowers Freesia with Coral Sweet Peas, Bridal Blush and Rolled Sensation Rose Petals to match her coral and ivory dress and jacket
The Bride Groom's Boutonniere was now in all white instead of the blush pink sample we'd made xx

Helen's Bride Groom Jamie was first to have his Boutonniere pinned to his lapel
The Bride Groom's Boutonniere was designed to be in proportion and to compliment his scrunchie tie and pocket square, we'd included a sprig of fresh Lily of the Valley, an Akito Rose with Rolled petals, Bubbles Buds, white Hydrangea florets and Eucalyptus leaves to frame the blooms, the stem was bound with silver grey ribbon.
Lewis did a great job of his duties as junior Usher, every wedding should have a Lewis!!xx
We made Lewis' boutonniere as a smaller simpler version of the Groom's Boutonniere

The Groom's super proud Dad Colin

Seriously glamorous Groom's Mum Alma her ensemble completed by the addition of her bespoke corsage

Alma's corsage matched her dress and jacket perfectly
Everyone was outside enjoying the sunshine but Lewis managed to get all of the guests inside Church, just ahead of the Bridesmaids arriving...

    Here come the girls...

The beautiful Bridesmaids arrived in style, their lovely gowns were by Alexia from Glamour Bridal in Bolton

The Bridesmaids really did look stunning, their bouquets complimented the shoulder ruffles of their gowns

Chief Bridesmaid the lovely Elizabeth was wearing a darker grey gown and looked fabulous

Our beautiful Bride Helen looked absolutely breathtaking in her Sophia Tolli gown from Glamour Bridal in Bolton

The beautiful Helen looked so relaxed and happy as she arrived at Church
The Bridal Bouquet of Peonies, Roses and Hydrangeas looked perfect set against her exquisite gown

The beautiful Bride's Mum Mary was escorted into Church by Lewis, her corsage matched her coral outfit perfectly

An emotional moment as our bridal party head into Church, Helen was being 'given away' by her brother Richard

Huge Congratulations to Helen & Jamie from all of the team here at Flower Design

The confetti both dried and fresh Rose Petals were ready to be handed out

I do love a good shower of fresh fragrant Rose Petal confetti

The celebrations moved on to the magical surroundings of Eaves Hall
The Paparazzi were ready and waiting for the arrival of our Bride and Groom In Love Wedding Films, Christopher Lewis Photography& Darren Heath Photography

Inside Eaves Hall the scene was set for a fabulous wedding reception, we'd arranged fresh flowers on the central table in the entrance

The seating plan was surrounded by fresh flowers and fragrant Rose Petals

Inside the main dining room at Eaves Hall we'd decorated the tables with a combination of high and low table designs
Huge spheres of Roses, Peonies, Stocks, Larkspur and Hydrangeas were set upon conical vases semi filled with fresh fragrant Rose Petals
Lower posies of fresh Roses, Hydrangeas and Peonies were arranged on large mirror plates with floating candles and tea light votives in mercury silver glass

The top table was dressed with a series of silver candlesticks and silver mercury glass vases filled with posies of fresh Roses, Peonies and Hydrangeas

The beautiful wedding cake was made by Kelly Dee from Pink Frosting Cake Company

Two hand tied bouquets all ready for presentation to the two Mums by our Bride Groom during his speech

Our work here was done it was time to leave the party in full swing massive thanks to Helen & Jamie and both of their amazing families we thoroughly enjoyed working with you all xx

I received an email today asking me to 'get a move on' in posting their son's wedding flower blog (their wedding was in November, so it won't be for ages yet), I explained these posts really do take me a good few hours sometimes days to put together, I post on every full wedding we do (by full I mean Bouquets, Boutonnieres, Ceremony & Reception flowers), I miss no-one out, unless they don't want us to share their flowers with our readers (very rarely does this happen but it does).
I love re-visiting their beautiful days, recalling our discussions, remembering just how important the flowers were to them, reflecting on the choices we made, the effects of the decisions we made, I love sharing our wonderful flowers and our even more wonderful Brides & Grooms, I love that I can show you just how intricate and considered our florist's work is, in short this is a labour of love, not something to be rushed, moreover something to be savoured and enjoyed.
I mention all of this because these two beautiful people Gillian & Marc embarked on their very own 'Labour of Love' they hand made a 'Senbazuru' which is a group of a 1000 Origami cranes held together by strings, our Bride & Groom set about folding their own Cranes for their wedding day, not an undertaking you do without serious consideration, throughout their relationship Marc has made origami animals as tokens of love for the beautiful Gillian, so he knew how tricky it would be. Here's a bit of back story, in Japenese culture the Crane is the traditional symbol for love as they remain with one partner for life, it's said that couples who work together (It can take months to complete this task) to fold their wedding cranes learn how to communicate better, to support each other through their endeavour in turn strengthening their compatibility and so promising a lifetime of happiness, I love this!!!
    The colours were significant too
    Red: Endless Love
    White: Purity of Heart
    Green: Long Health
    Yellow: Overflowing Creativity
    Blue: Unwavering Loyalty
    Purple: Deepened Spirituality
Needless to say all were included...
    Their Senbazuru

These two were already on our radar, we'd created flowers for Marc's sister's (Caroline & Joe) wedding back in 2012 and had, had a wonderful time doing it, so we hoped and had everything crossed that when Marc popped the questioned, we'd be asked to do the flowers too, what a privilege it is to be invited back by a family, that really does mean an awful lot to us so thank you!!!
Marc & Gillian had made this beautiful mood board, featuring the colours, the cranes and the gardens, we couldn't fail to be inspired...
We invited them back to FD HQ to see a set a sample designs we'd created for them, we'd taken on board their ideas and their budget. We'd made a sample wedding bouquet, a sample boutonniere and some ideas for their tables and ceremony...
The sample Groom's Boutonniere created for Marc

     A low table design suggestion
The beautifully relaxed bridal bouquet incorporated a riot of vibrant summer colour, the colours intensified in the real bouquets as we headed into high summer for their big day xx
    Super tall table design suggestion
Jason & I were lucky enough to be together for this glorious day, Jason did the presentation of the bridal bouquets in one of the suites at Gibbon Bridge
Jason showed our fabulous Bride and her Bridesmaids how to carry their bouquets perfectly, even little Amber on the end joined in
Gillian looked radiant and loved her colourful wedding bouquet
Our talented friend the lovely Mairead from Wedlocks was doing a great job of the hair
It was lovely to see Katie Holt mua doing a wonderful job of making lovely faces even lovelier
Outside in the summer sunshine, Jason pinned on the rather special Groom's Boutonniere on to Marc's lapel
The Groom's bright and colourful Boutonniere, a clustered design featuring Veronica, Craspedia, Larkspur florets, Rolled Rose Petals, Rose Buds, Daisies and Forget Me Nots, we'd bound the stem in pale blue ribbon
Jason pinned on all of the boutonnieres ensuring each one was positioned perfectly, the super proud Groom's Dad Andy
All of the Boutonnieres were unique created individually from a rich and vibrant flower palette

So lovely to see Joe againxx

The gardens at Gibbon Bridge are quite remarkable, truly magnificent and the scene for Gillian and Marc's marriage ceremony.

    Love in the Mist
Chamomile, Delphiniums, Larkspur, Peonies and Hydrangeas

These gorgeous corsages were ready to be fixed to some beautiful ladies

    So gorgeous...

Huge Congratulations to Gillian & Marc from all of the team here at Flower Design Events

The team from Bamboo Fontaine were entertaining the guests for the drinks reception
In the main dining room the tables were dressed with a myriad of fresh flowers in vibrant hues, our super tall FD Flower Bombs looked magnificent on some of the tables

Clusters of fresh posies dressed the top table which had a back drop of a 1000 cranes

The cranes were so beautifully crafted and looked as if they were flying

we'd mirrored the colours of the cranes in the colours of the flowers

Oh me oh my what a gorgeous wedding this was, I had, had such a great time with these two, we'd enjoyed a good few appointments, we'd planned, we'd discussed we became friends and I hope that's always the way it is at Flower Design.
We had the great pleasure of working with some wonderful wedding professionals for this beautiful wedding the Photographers were our old friends Steve and Stephanie Ashton from Ashton Photography, the fantastic team from Twelve Event Management were looking after the food at The Great Hall at Mains and there was this beautiful gown from Lotties Bridal what more could anyone want...

This mood board was a joy, we loved the soft peach colour scheme, the heavenly gown, the sharp suits, they really had a great vision for their big day...
We got together again to show them a set of samples, we'd created a gently cascading bouquet for Kymberley we'd included some sumptuous Juliet Roses from David Austin, white Peonies like scoops of icecream, frilly Lissianthus, Dendrobium Orchids, Senecio, Ivy and Eucalyptus
We'd made Sam a Juliet Rose Boutonniere to match his Bride's Bouquet
This was their sample table design using our candelabra dressed with Roses, Hydrangeas, Lissianthus and fresh foliages,  Kymberley & Sam had already bought some candelabras of their own, but they weren't quite right in terms of height, they would end up in front of their guests faces on the dining tables, rather than the flowers being above their heads with ours, so we came up with a plan to include them but in a different way, we chose to use them to extend the top table, I do like to make the most of what our Brides & Groom's already have but I don't want to compromise on good solid design, the thing is Kymberley & Sam have the most wonderful taste we loved all of their choices and their mood board was stunning, it was just a case of thinking hard, digging deep and coming up with a plan...

I love the sample appointment when we get to show our designs and Sam & Kymberley got to try out being a Bride and Groom

At last the big day arrived and our Olivia presented the FD box of bridal bouquets to our beautiful Bride and her Bridesmaids

Olivia headed over to St Chad's Church in Poulton to meet up with Sam and his Groom's Men to pin on their boutonnieres, Sam looked super handsome and his boutonniere fitted his lapel perfectly
Olivia pinned on all of the boutonnieres ensuring each one was positioned perfectly

The Bridesmaid's looked beautiful in their pale peach gowns

    Too cute for words!!

The Bridesmaids carried posy shaped versions of the Bride's Bouquet including Juliet Roses and white Peonies

Pink in one shade or another is probably our most popular colour scheme, there's a good reason for this, we look really good with pink, our Northern European skin tones are well matched with pink, so it's always a great choice for us Brits, now the lovely Alison & Dean had chosen a pink palette for their colour scheme, they'd also chosen some truly beautiful European blooms too, Peonies, Roses, Sweet Peas and Hydrangeas, the perfect combination!!!
We met up with Alison and Dean to go through their jam packed mood board, we talked through their plans in great detail, we learned about Dean's love of Lego and Alison's love of Peonies, we discovered their plans for a remarkable day at the fabulous Ribby Hall Village, they'd booked some great wedding professionals including their photographer Lottie Designs there was a beautiful gown from The Bridal Collection in Lancaster,  Make up by a good friend Sonara Parker mua, beautiful hair by Mairead from Wedlocks and a really unusual 'Lego' cake by Kelly Cakes
After the mood board appointment we all got together again for the samples appointment, we created a full set of sample bridal designs including Bridal Bouquet, Boutonniere and table centres to show the whole family...

Jason showed everyone how to carry their bouquets perfectly
We loved Alison's beautiful Bouquet of Peonies, Lily of the Valley, English Garden Roses, Hydrangeas and Sweet Peas
Sonara and Mairead were busy with the hair and make up

The Bride's super glam Mum the lovely Sue her 'ash pink' ensemble completed with an elegant corsage
The Bridesmaids carried bouquets of Roses, Peonies, Hydrangeas and Sweet Peas
The shades of pink in their bouquets matched the Bridesmaids pink gowns beautifully
Ribby's very own Doug was driving the Ribby Rolls Royce bringing our beautiful Bride and her seriously proud Dad

To say this post is eclectic would be an understatement, to say this post is epic also an understatement, to say this blog post is quite spectacular is just right, these two are totally amazing, we have had the best time with them, time was short but ideas were plentiful, colours were dynamic and the setting at Marsh Hall Farm utterly amazing...

We showcased Sue & John's sample Bridal designs at the open day at Staining Lodge because they could only get into see them on the Sunday..

Sue loved her sample wedding bouquet

We'd made a sample boutonniere too
     Suggestions for their table designs...
On the big day our Vicky & Renske were in charge of our flowers and were lucky enough to make the bridal bouquet presentation to Sue & her Bridesmaids
The colours were so rich and vibrant
The flower combination included Delphiniums, Dahlias, Roses, Herbs, Craspedia, Phlox, Hydrangeas and trailing Amaranthus

Vicky handed over the bouquets and then showed everyone how to carry their bouquets perfectly

The Bridesmaids bouquets were all unique each one a smaller simpler version of the Bride's bouquet
They really look like they are hanging on Vicky's every word, I know I do!! xx

The lovely hair was being done by Ben Heyes
The make up was by Lyndsey Harrison
Our gorgeous Bride Sue had ordered fresh flowers in her hair
The boutonnieres were all lined up ready to be pinned on to the Groom's Men, again each one was unique
There was a beautiful collection of corsages each one designed and created to match the outfits of these special ladies outfits

Vicky & Renske pinned on all of the boutonnieres
Sue's super handsome Bride Groom Jon was first to have his very special and seriously colourful boutonniere pinned to his waistcoat
We'd included a beautiful collection of summer florets in the Bride Groom's Boutonniere, Rolled Petals, Mimi Eden Rose bud, Blue Cornflower, Craspedia, Bridal Blush, Oxypetalum, Viburnum Opulus, Oncidium, Lissianthus, Ferns and Eucalyptus leaves the stems were bound with jute string

Pinning a boutonniere on to braces is a very tricky business but we had the best girl on the job xx

Our corsages are made to match the wearers outfits we always ask that pictures are provided so that we can make them look absolutely spot on.

All of the ladies really did look stunning...

    How very lovely xx

The ceremony was held inside Marsh Hall Farm

Jam jars filled with posies of vibrant flowers dressed the Registrars table

All of the details and special touches were well thought out and considered, some were home made by Sue and John and I for one love that xx

There's our Renske sat on the back row
The beautiful Bridesmaids were all lined up ready for the ceremony, they were wearing multiway dresses in a pale duck egg blue shade

The little Flower Girls carried trug baskets dressed with bright and colourful ribbons filled with multicoloured rose petals

Our beautiful Bride sue was wearing the most gorgeous gown from Dreamcatcher in Kirkham by Essense of Australia

Huge Congratulations to Sue and John from all of the team here at Flower Design Events

I love the colours in this gorgeous wedding bouquet
The brightly coloured bridal bouquet matched the bride's hair flowers perfectly

We'd included pale blue Delphiniums in the Bridesmaid's bouquets to match their gowns

The wedding TeePees looked fabulous in this setting

Inside the Teepee long trestle tables were dressed with long table runners in all different floral fabrics, posies of fresh vibrant flowers were distributed along the length of each table

I love the jugs and jars filled with a glorious array of vibrant summer garden flowers

We'd dressed the wedding cake with fresh cake corsages

Love this area with all of the straw bales and blankets
The seating plan on a set of ladders

Our work here was done massive thanks to Sue and John for choosing Flower Design Events to create their wedding flowers for them xx

This is such a pretty winter wedding at the fabulous Glendower Hotel in St Annes, it featured a fabulous couple, a stunning bridal gown from Lotties Bridal, a gorgeous pooch and some beautiful fresh flowers.
We begin this flower story with the lovely set of sample bridal designs, each set of samples is created to compliment our Bride & Groom's ideas, colours, gowns, venue and most importantly their taste.
We made them a sample bouquet and a sample boutonniere
We created samples for their table centres and top table

Before we knew it the big day arrived and the first person to have his boutonniere pinned to his lapel was Claire's super handsome Bride Groom the lovely Mark

We pinned on all of the boutonnieres making sure each one was positioned perfectly

    So gorgeous...

The beautiful Bridesmaids were wearing navy blue gowns and carried bouquets of Muscari, Thistles, Anemones, nude Roses, Viburnum and Ranunculus

Our gorgeous Bride the lovely Claire looked breathtakingly lovely

Huge congratulations to Claire & Mark from all of the team here at Flower Design

The ball room at The Glendower looked beautiful
The tables were dressed with mirrored cubes filled with fresh Roses, Muscari, Ranunculus, Albiflora, Hydrangeas, Thistles, Forget me nots, Berries and winter foliages

The top table was dressed with a series of mirrors with posies in vases and mirror cubes with tea light votives in-between to illuminate the design

Many thanks to Claire and Mark for choosing Flower Design Events to create their wedding flowers for them.

This was such a super stylish wedding day, Becci & Andy had put everything into this wonderful day, we had, had the best time planning and creating beautiful flowers for these two gorgeous folks. Their plans were thoroughly detailed, their ideas and colour themes were truly beautiful and on the day everything came together absolutely perfectly!!xx
The mood board Becci and Andy had put together was a real stunner, at their second appointment we discussed all of the details and they talked me through their fabulous board, we made plans to meet up a few weeks before their big day for us to showcase their sample bridal designs
We'd made a sample bridal bouquet of Peonies, Roses, Love in the Mist and Delphiniums for the lovely Becci to try out
We made a collection of table designs, boutonnieres, Chair Dressings & Pedestals, they were all designed with a fusion of glamour and rustic naturalness

At long last the big day arrived and I was very lucky to be presenting these gorgeous bouquets to Becci and her lovely Bridesmaids
This gorgeous wedding bouquet included Juliet Roses from David Austin, some fragrant Lily of the Valley, Freesia, Sweet Peas, Peonies, Love in the Mist Delphiniums and Thalaspi

I showed all of the Bridal party how to carry their bouquets perfectly

Becky & Hannah were looking after the hair and make up, making these beautiful ladies even more beautiful Vanity House

The Bride's Mum's beautiful Corsage of Rolled Rose Petals and Dendrobium Orchids

The ceremony space at the wonderful Eaves Hall looked perfect, we'd dressed the dining room ensuring that the designs were worthy of the promises being made.
Two huge and glorious pedestals topped with Cafe au Lait Dahlias, Blush & White Hydrangeas, Roses, Peonies, Stocks, Delphiniums and fresh foliages framed the ceremony space
Posies of fresh fragrant flowers dressed each alternate pew end lining the aisle, we'd chosen to use fresh flowers instead of the candlelit lanterns featured on Becci & Andy's mood board, once we'd seen Becci's gown and she'd said that she'd be walked down the aisle by two Dads Geoff & Tom we figured out that there just wouldn't be enough space on the floor for lanterns.
