Helen & Jamie Palest Blush Pink & Ivory Wedding Day at St Annes Church Turton & Eaves Hall

I have been editing photographs and writing for my blog posts every day of this year (it's only 10th January) and if I'm honest I'm not made for sitting in front of a computer, but and this is a big but, I am having fun. It's January, it's cold, flowers are precious and scarce and here I am basking in the summer sunshine re-visiting these glorious weddings, re-living some of the very best moments of 2017 and I am loving every second. It's amazing how a few snaps bring back a flood of memories so good I can almost smell the flowers, it's wonderful too, to see our beautiful Brides and their handsome Groom's, to re-acquaint myself with their fabulous families, after all we invest a lot in our relationships with them all, it's how we manage to make our flowers so deeply personal.
The flowers we make are steeped in personal stories, family history, traditions, heritage and of course personality, we can't figure all that stuff out with one appointment, there has to be at least three, so here's our tale of Helen & Jamie's wedding flowers, it's a long one so brace yourselves...
~
So the lovely Helen first Face Book messaged me back in August 2016, she sent me a list of designs she knew she wanted along with some images to help me understand her vision, I responded suggesting a get together to discuss  her ideas further and to work out some costings properly.
We met up again in February when Helen & Jamie had put together an extensive mood board, they had made some firm plans by this time and had a clearer idea of the direction they wanted their flowers to go in. Together we prepared a fully itemised quotation for them, an on line file that we could both add information to, we left no stone un-turned.
We put together a virtual flower palette for them, in line with their mood board and budget including Helen's beloved Peonies and some gorgeous English Garden Rose and Tea Roses with fresh white Hydrangeas
We got together again in April at their family Church St Annes in Turton, this time we met up with Helen, Helen's chief Bridesmaid and sister Elizabeth, her fabulous Mum Mary & Jamie's Mum Alma, we worked out logistics, we were introduced to the 'Church Flower Lady' discussed possibilities of dressing the huge Lych Gate and Helen's Grandma's pedestal stand.
At the end of June we invited them back to FD HQ to see a set of sample Bridal designs prepared exclusively for them, we'd made a beautiful bridal bouquet of Blush Pink & Ivory Peonies, 'Keira' English Garden Roses by David Austin, fresh Jasmine, Lily of the Valley, Sweet Peas and Astilbe.
We made a sample Boutonniere for Jamie to see

We created some table centrepiece ideas too, all of them to fit their mood board, their brief and their budget
Although they loved their sample designs, Helen was in a turmoil regarding the colours and by the end of this appointment it was decided that we should dilute the pink and concentrate the balance of colour towards the white and ivory shades with just the slightest hint of blush...

On the big day, Shirl & I were in Bolton to make the bouquet presentation, a closed road as we came off the motorway had increased the tension and my nerves were jangling, I don't mind saying that following the colour change I was slightly trepidatious and when I pulled back the FD tissue to reveal Helen's wedding bouquets no-one was more relieved than me by her reaction!!!! ...

The FD box was filled to bursting with glorious bridal bouquets of pale ivory and blush pink Peonies, White Hydrangeas and Garden Roses from David Austin

This moment is worth all of the worry and all of the sleepless nights...

We'd finished the handle with our 'Lovers knot' binding

I showed everyone how to carry their bouquets perfectly, I do love a back garden FD bouquet carrying tutorial...
The beautiful wedding bouquet in palest shades of ivory and blush

My great friend the fabulous Duncan Fisher was responsible for doing the girls hair and what a spectacular job he did too. The lovely Danielle Entwistle MUA did everyone's beautiful make up too.

Shirl & I headed off to St Annes Church in Turton and how different it looked with all of the leaves on the trees we'd decided that a couple of small swags on the gate would be perfect given the amount of foliage around the gate itself.
Swags of sweet scented Stocks, Roses and Hydrangeas provided a fragranced welcome for the guests as they arrived at Church
Inside this beautiful and huge church we'd framed the internal arch with two full and voluptuous pedestals of Roses, Peonies, Hydrangeas and sweet scented stocks
Helen's Grandma's pedestal stand in the foreground was also decorated with fresh Roses, Peonies and Hydrangeas

The pew ends were dressed with posies of Bombastic and Avalanche Roses with Hydrangeas arranged in our silver mercury vases tied on with ivory satin ribbon

In the porch area I had allocated some space for the boxes of Boutonnieres and Corsages
I lined the boutonnieres up ready to pin them on to Jamie and his Groom's Men
The Groom's Mum's Corsage created for the lovely Alma to tone with her ivory, grey and blush pink ensemble

For the fabulous Bride's Mum Mary we used her favourite flowers Freesia with Coral Sweet Peas, Bridal Blush and Rolled Sensation Rose Petals to match her coral and ivory dress and jacket
The Bride Groom's Boutonniere was now in all white instead of the blush pink sample we'd made xx

Helen's Bride Groom Jamie was first to have his Boutonniere pinned to his lapel
The Bride Groom's Boutonniere was designed to be in proportion and to compliment his scrunchie tie and pocket square, we'd included a sprig of fresh Lily of the Valley, an Akito Rose with Rolled petals, Bubbles Buds, white Hydrangea florets and Eucalyptus leaves to frame the blooms, the stem was bound with silver grey ribbon.
Lewis did a great job of his duties as junior Usher, every wedding should have a Lewis!!xx
We made Lewis' boutonniere as a smaller simpler version of the Groom's Boutonniere

The Groom's super proud Dad Colin

Seriously glamorous Groom's Mum Alma her ensemble completed by the addition of her bespoke corsage

Alma's corsage matched her dress and jacket perfectly
Everyone was outside enjoying the sunshine but Lewis managed to get all of the guests inside Church, just ahead of the Bridesmaids arriving...

Gillian & Marc's 'Senbazuru' Colourful Cranes & Flowers for their Wedding Day in the Garden's of Gibbon Bridge

0
0
I received an email today asking me to 'get a move on' in posting their son's wedding flower blog (their wedding was in November, so it won't be for ages yet), I explained these posts really do take me a good few hours sometimes days to put together, I post on every full wedding we do (by full I mean Bouquets, Boutonnieres, Ceremony & Reception flowers), I miss no-one out, unless they don't want us to share their flowers with our readers (very rarely does this happen but it does).
I love re-visiting their beautiful days, recalling our discussions, remembering just how important the flowers were to them, reflecting on the choices we made, the effects of the decisions we made, I love sharing our wonderful flowers and our even more wonderful Brides & Grooms, I love that I can show you just how intricate and considered our florist's work is, in short this is a labour of love, not something to be rushed, moreover something to be savoured and enjoyed.
~
I mention all of this because these two beautiful people Gillian & Marc embarked on their very own 'Labour of Love' they hand made a 'Senbazuru' which is a group of a 1000 Origami cranes held together by strings, our Bride & Groom set about folding their own Cranes for their wedding day, not an undertaking you do without serious consideration, throughout their relationship Marc has made origami animals as tokens of love for the beautiful Gillian, so he knew how tricky it would be. Here's a bit of back story, in Japenese culture the Crane is the traditional symbol for love as they remain with one partner for life, it's said that couples who work together (It can take months to complete this task) to fold their wedding cranes learn how to communicate better, to support each other through their endeavour in turn strengthening their compatibility and so promising a lifetime of happiness, I love this!!!
The colours were significant too
Red: Endless Love
White: Purity of Heart
Green: Long Health
Yellow: Overflowing Creativity
Blue: Unwavering Loyalty
Purple: Deepened Spirituality
Needless to say all were included...
Their Senbazuru

These two were already on our radar, we'd created flowers for Marc's sister's (Caroline & Joe) wedding back in 2012 and had, had a wonderful time doing it, so we hoped and had everything crossed that when Marc popped the questioned, we'd be asked to do the flowers too, what a privilege it is to be invited back by a family, that really does mean an awful lot to us so thank you!!!
~
Marc & Gillian had made this beautiful mood board, featuring the colours, the cranes and the gardens, we couldn't fail to be inspired...
We invited them back to FD HQ to see a set a sample designs we'd created for them, we'd taken on board their ideas and their budget. We'd made a sample wedding bouquet, a sample boutonniere and some ideas for their tables and ceremony...
The sample Groom's Boutonniere created for Marc

 A low table design suggestion
The beautifully relaxed bridal bouquet incorporated a riot of vibrant summer colour, the colours intensified in the real bouquets as we headed into high summer for their big day xx
Super tall table design suggestion
Jason & I were lucky enough to be together for this glorious day, Jason did the presentation of the bridal bouquets in one of the suites at Gibbon Bridge
Jason showed our fabulous Bride and her Bridesmaids how to carry their bouquets perfectly, even little Amber on the end joined in
Gillian looked radiant and loved her colourful wedding bouquet
Our talented friend the lovely Mairead from Wedlocks was doing a great job of the hair
It was lovely to see Katie Holt mua doing a wonderful job of making lovely faces even lovelier
Outside in the summer sunshine, Jason pinned on the rather special Groom's Boutonniere on to Marc's lapel
The Groom's bright and colourful Boutonniere, a clustered design featuring Veronica, Craspedia, Larkspur florets, Rolled Rose Petals, Rose Buds, Daisies and Forget Me Nots, we'd bound the stem in pale blue ribbon
Jason pinned on all of the boutonnieres ensuring each one was positioned perfectly, the super proud Groom's Dad Andy
All of the Boutonnieres were unique created individually from a rich and vibrant flower palette

So lovely to see Joe againxx

Palest Peaches & Creams for Kymberley & Sam at St Chads in Poulton & The Great Hall at Mains

Oh me oh my what a gorgeous wedding this was, I had, had such a great time with these two, we'd enjoyed a good few appointments, we'd planned, we'd discussed we became friends and I hope that's always the way it is at Flower Design.
We had the great pleasure of working with some wonderful wedding professionals for this beautiful wedding the Photographers were our old friends Steve and Stephanie Ashton from Ashton Photography, the fantastic team from Twelve Event Management were looking after the food at The Great Hall at Mains and there was this beautiful gown from Lotties Bridal what more could anyone want...

This mood board was a joy, we loved the soft peach colour scheme, the heavenly gown, the sharp suits, they really had a great vision for their big day...
We got together again to show them a set of samples, we'd created a gently cascading bouquet for Kymberley we'd included some sumptuous Juliet Roses from David Austin, white Peonies like scoops of icecream, frilly Lissianthus, Dendrobium Orchids, Senecio, Ivy and Eucalyptus
We'd made Sam a Juliet Rose Boutonniere to match his Bride's Bouquet
This was their sample table design using our candelabra dressed with Roses, Hydrangeas, Lissianthus and fresh foliages,  Kymberley & Sam had already bought some candelabras of their own, but they weren't quite right in terms of height, they would end up in front of their guests faces on the dining tables, rather than the flowers being above their heads with ours, so we came up with a plan to include them but in a different way, we chose to use them to extend the top table, I do like to make the most of what our Brides & Groom's already have but I don't want to compromise on good solid design, the thing is Kymberley & Sam have the most wonderful taste we loved all of their choices and their mood board was stunning, it was just a case of thinking hard, digging deep and coming up with a plan...

I love the sample appointment when we get to show our designs and Sam & Kymberley got to try out being a Bride and Groom

At last the big day arrived and our Olivia presented the FD box of bridal bouquets to our beautiful Bride and her Bridesmaids

Olivia headed over to St Chad's Church in Poulton to meet up with Sam and his Groom's Men to pin on their boutonnieres, Sam looked super handsome and his boutonniere fitted his lapel perfectly
Olivia pinned on all of the boutonnieres ensuring each one was positioned perfectly

There were some beautiful Wrist Corsages and Ladies Boutonnieres to pin on too

Linda looked fabulous and far too young to be the Groom's Mum
The wrist corsage for the Groom's Mum was in ivory and pale grey shades to compliment her ale grey dress and jacket

The Bridesmaid's looked beautiful in their pale peach gowns

Too cute for words!!

The Bridesmaids carried posy shaped versions of the Bride's Bouquet including Juliet Roses and white Peonies

The Bridesmaids were also wearing fresh flowers in their hair to match their bouquets

Beautiful Peach and ivory Bridesmaid's bouquets
Kymberley looked breathtakingly beautiful her hair was by Saks in Poulton
Her Make Up was by Francesca Britton
Kymberley's exquisite gown was by Amanda Wyatt from Lottie's Bridal Boutique

The hair flowers looked fabulous

Each Candelabra was decorated with Peach & white Avalanche Roses with Dendrobium Orchids, White Hydrangeas, Apricot Lissianthus, Peach Hypericum and Trailing Amaranthus with lovely foliages and Gyposphilia
The three tier heart shaped wedding cake was dressed with fresh flowers on each tier the colours and flowers connecting each one with a common floral motif

On the top table we'd used our Bride & Groom's own Candelabras and candlesticks, this was the perfect use for them as they extended the top table design , we'd provided vases for he Bridal bouquets to sit in

Our work here was done it was time to leave the party in full swing many thanks to Kymberley & Sam for choosing Flower Design Events to create their wedding flowers for them xxx

Pink in one shade or another is probably our most popular colour scheme, there's a good reason for this, we look really good with pink, our Northern European skin tones are well matched with pink, so it's always a great choice for us Brits, now the lovely Alison & Dean had chosen a pink palette for their colour scheme, they'd also chosen some truly beautiful European blooms too, Peonies, Roses, Sweet Peas and Hydrangeas, the perfect combination!!!

The Inn at Whitewell In All It's Wintery Glory Dressed For Their Showcase Weekend

0
0
We all love The Inn at Whitewell, it really is one of our all time favourite places, we all love it in our off time too, Jason & I have celebrated our anniversaries there staying in their beautiful rooms (with no signal yeah!!) and eating spectacular locally sourced dinners, our team too have a special affinity with it, we've all got beautiful memories, personal anecdotes, childhood remembrances and all of us can in our minds flick back to someone's happy wedding day. A funny thing this, but every year without fail for at least the last 20 years, when we get to the end of the wedding season and are reminiscing over the year, an Inn at Whitewell wedding always comes out as being one of our favourite weddings of that particular year, there really is a good reason for it, it's real, it's authentic, jam packed with character and characters, it's eclectic, it's posh yet it's relaxed and homely, most of all it's welcoming and we feel like we're valued both as customers and suppliers...
Last weekend we had the happy task of creating flowers for the Inn at Whitewell's showcase
So we got together with Emma & Andrea at The Inn a few weeks ago and thrashed out some ideas (over the best sausage and mash ever), we got together with team Flower Design and thrashed out a few more ideas (over a bottle of red), all of our ideas were unique, unique to the individual who came up with it and unique to Whitewell, after all it's a pretty unique place...

Outside on the terrace the braziers were stoked up
The river was full to bursting
Whatever the time of year I truly believe this is one of the best views from any wedding venue in the world!!xx
Inside the marquee a warm cosy and tranquil atmosphere prevailed and our designs looked magical, we'd created our own Mood Boards for this event and instead of thinking about a Bride & Groom and all of their purchases and taste to take into account, we treated The Inn as if it were the client, we came up with a number of 'Story Boards' each one celebrating a different aspect of The Inn at Whitewell, we created wedding bouquets, boutonnieres and at least two table designs to compliment each story.
We adored the chandeliers provided by our great friends Megan & Daz from Typical Type they really enhanced our ideas and provided a finish and completeness to the marquee.

Our first story'Woodland Nymphs & Flower Fairies' inspired by 'A Midsummer Nights Dream'

Our enchanted tree table was inspired by 'childhood memories' of family picnics in the woods around Whitewell, stories of 'Flower Fairies', mystical, whimsical, using tiny magical flowers and mysterious materials, mosses, books, 'fire flies' and fairy lights...

This table design was so detailed, so provocative, imaginative, we'd used a collection of January blooms: Californian Poppies, Oncidium 'Bumblebee' Orchids, Craspedia, Acacia, Cherry Blossom, Hypericum, Eustoma and Rose buds in a variety of shades.
Fresh Proteas, Hellebores, Grevillia, Kiwi Vine, Hyacinth, Rose Buds, Eucalyptus, fresh Rosemary

Books, wrapped in moss, Ranunculus, Jasmine, Astrantia, Limonium, Grevillia and glass perfume bottles filled with perfumed flowers
We stopped short of some fairy foot prints but they were discussed!!! xx
Fresh Ivy, hidden succulents, Albiflora, pea green Hypericum and candlelit votives

A magical moss covered candelabra formed part of this table we'd dressed it with Angiozanthos, Tulips, Forsythia, Poppies, Grevillia, Jasmine and Mimosa

We leave space between each placement on our table designs, my old floristry tutor always said "leave space for the butterflies" and on this table design that seems hugely relevant.
Our wild and whimsical wedding bouquet included a whole host of fresh magical flowers and was tied up with a trails of colourful ribbons.

The Boutonniere designed to compliment the wedding bouquet included tiny mystical blooms, berries and materials

We'd also arranged this set of lower designs along the oval top table, the two higher designs would be too tall for a real top table and would probably be used on round tables in a real wedding scenario.
I loved this design so much, the promise of magic is more than a suggestion, I could look at it for hours
Details are so important, small motifs that sometimes repeat, bulbs and new beginnings are celebrated in this collection.
More 'weird' and 'wonderful' flower shapes the Scabious seed head and Astrantia so mystical.

An old lantern left in the woods, fresh flowers growing through where they'd pushed the glass out.

More Books, Birds Nests, Mossy mounds.

Another favourite of mine this ancient old Bird Bath filled with Hamamelis aka Witch Hazel, Blossoms, Rose Buds, Craspedia aka 'Billy Balls', Oncidium aka 'Bumblebee' Orchids and so many more morsels of floral loveliness besides.

Our second story 'Dutch Masters & Still Life at Whitewell'

Our next table design collection was in celebration of the art work around Whitewell, particularly in their 'Orangery'& 'Restaurant' we felt it celebrated the history here, we'd used a ridiculously heavy wrought iron urn and filled it with a arelaxed design featuring some heavenly wintery materials: fresh Anemones, Wax Flower Blossom, Astrantia, Hydrangeas, Hellebore, Viburnum Tinus and flowering Eucalyptus. We'd arranged some old Ginger jars, Candlesticks, Pomegranate, grapes, Pears, recycled bottles, goblets and jugs.

A recreation of a Dutch Masters Oil painting was our brief, I love this design so much! our Shirl had sourced us some fabulous fabrics for this set of designs.

Our heavy 'Verdi Gris' wrought iron candelabra was the design we'd created to provide a tall option to go with the Dutch Master inspired urn.
We loved the wax running down the candles it seemed 'just right' for this candelabra dressed with Roses, Orchids, Hyacinth, Kochia & Hellebores.
We'd set this design on a large silver tray swathed in a piece of velvet dressed with fruit, books, mini candelabras and silver tarnished goblets.

Our oil painting inspired Bridal Bouquet

Our third Story 'Country Pursuits at Whitewell'

A collection of designs inspired by 'Country Pursuits' synonymous with Whitewell, our Shirl had found us some superb tweeds to use with these designs and Jason had been over to 'Port of Lancaster Smoke House'for the pheasant feathers, Sam from 'Triggr'  a provider Clay Pigeon shooting days and experiences had given us the empty cartridges.
We wanted these designs to look 'outdoorsy' using natural earthy materials, we'd chosen a mustard and bark brown palette for this collection and as we were driving over to Whitewell all of these shades seemed so prolific in the landscape.
Fresh bulbs and foliages were growing out of the cartridges

We'd used the cartridge shells to make mini flower vessels

The wedding bouquet created to match the themes of 'Country Pursuits' included 'Oberon' Freesia, Lotus Seed Head, 'Golden Mustard' Roses, Succulents, Grevillea, Cymbidium Orchids and Spring bulbs complete with their roots and some Pheasant feathers, the handle was bound with tweed.

 Our 'Country Pursuits' Boutonniere

The lower design created to compliment the 'Country Pursuits' theme used a collection of wooden vessels and stands and included Forsythia and Succulents with daffodil bulbs.

 Succulents on tree stumps.

Our fourth Collection 'Country House Banquet & Ball'

A little more glamour in these designs, inspired by the banquets and balls, wedding parties and celebrations we see all of the time at 'The Inn at Whitewell'

Our beautiful 'Baroque Candelabra' dressed with fresh Roses, Hydrangeas, Dianthus & Calla Lilies set on a slice of tree a nod to the great outdoors.
The candelabras were surrounded by posies of fresh flowers and mirrored tea light votives

One of our super tall FD Flower Bombs a brilliant design to choose if you're having a Church wedding the fresh flowers can be used on top of our pedestal and urn combinations to create a fabulous Church Pedestal and then after it becomes a superb table centrepiece.

Inside the vase a stem of green Cymbidium Orchid creates interest low down

Our fifth Story 'The Great Outdoors'

This set of designs is an ever changing collection inspired by the seasons, we love the silhouette the magnificent Magnolia Branches create,  it's so obviously a winter design, we used a collection of fresh bulbs set into the moss and creeping between the branches, trails of fresh ivy tumbling over the sides, imagine how different this design would be in he middle of Summer or in the Autumn, here at Whitewell the season is so obvious, the outdoors is every where you look, it seems very right to celebrate it.

As with all of our designs there's a huge amount of fresh detail

We'd brought along a few fabulous Inn at Whitewell Mood Boards and had the pleasure of explaining to future Brides and Grooms how to put their own mood board together...

Lots of Bride's and Groom's tried out our Bouquets and Boutonnieres
This luscious and deeply rich bouquet was designed to compliment our oil painting inspired designs

Exquisite details our oil painting inspired boutonnieres

The beautiful magical and enchanted bouquet designed with a whimsical bride in mind.

 Trails of multicoloured ribbons

These last few images are close ups of the designs around the marquee and really celebrate the flowers

 Hamamelis

Love this gorgeous voluptuous bridal bouquet

Our work here was done many thanks to Emma & Andrea and all of the team at The Inn at Whitewell, we had a wonderful weekend and had the pleasure of meeting with some really fabulous Brides & Grooms.

We loved creating wedding flowers for this gorgeous couple, we had some fabulous themes to play with not least Declan's Irish heritage and Rebecca's stunning colour scheme: pale pink & green, we had the joy of working in the most spectacular setting at St Mary's& the stunning Inn at Whitewell with some great wedding professionals to boot, we had the pleasure of spending the day  with the super talented Martin Cahill Photography, there was a beautiful gown from Wed 2B, a fabulous Church Choir The Valley Singers and so much more loveliness besides that we almost forgot we were actually working!!! xxx

So we got together with Rebecca & Declan back in December and then in April to discuss their beautiful Mood Board and again in June to create their sample designs which included Bridal Bouquets, Boutonnieres, Ceremony and Reception designs for them to see and try out

We have absolutely loved working with these two gorgeous folks, they had the most amazing day over at Eaves Hall, a day filled to bursting with love, family, friends and flowers. Right from our first meeting we knew how important each of those elements were to Laura & Liam, they had put so much thought into the planning, we'd first met up with them at FD HQ a good year or so before and we knew then that no stone would be left un-turned in their pursuit of the perfect wedding day and that's exactly what they had...
At our second get together Laura & Liam presented their beautiful mood board, it was so detailed and included everything we needed to know ahead of their samples appointment. We had the full low down on the exquisite Bride's gown (in the envelope) the Bridesmaid's dresses with fabric swatches, Mum's outfits, ideas of flowers they love and bags of useful information too.
A few weeks later they were back over at our studio to see the sample designs we'd put together  just for them

Fresh Flowers & Magical Themes for Bartle Hall's Winter Showcase Event

0
0
We had such a brilliant day over at Bartle Hall for their Winter Showcase Event a couple of weeks ago, we've had a completely different approach to the showcases we've been providing flowers for in 2018, we've treated the venues as if they were our Bride & Groom, we've learnt about them, about their history, about what's important to them and what little details will make it look and feel even more special.
~
So Bartle Hall holds a hugely special place in our hearts, it's a venue we've been supplying flowers to for over 20 years, we are there for one thing or another almost daily and they have a stellar squad of wedding professionals headed up by the brilliant husband & wife team Nicola & Andrew Haworth, together they ensure each Bride & Groom have a very personal and memorable experience. I know that from the minute you're greeted at reception by Tracey, to your first meeting with the super efficient Georgie to eating Ruth's home made bread & Carl's incomparable attention to detail, Martin's perfect running of a perfect day to the lovely Peggy serving your breakfast the morning, your experience will be sublime.

Only yesterday I had a gorgeous couple in our studio, Craig & Lauren they'd brought in their mood board and we were chatting about their wedding plans, they are just so delighted they picked Bartle, bursting with excitement ahead of what they know will be a wonderful day, they absolutely love Bartle Hall and have had the very best experience, they couldn't sing their praises highly enough and can't wait to share their day with friends and family in these magical surroundings!!!!

I few weeks before the showcase Vicky, Shirl, Chloe, Jason & I sat down in my office and shared our ideas, thoughts, memories, what Bartle Hall means to us, much like we ask our B's & G's to do to think about what their day is all about, here's what we came up with and here are the designs we created....

'Bartle Hall's Secret Garden'

Our mystical and magical 'Enchanted Tree' the perfect design, we could imagine it just behind the hidden gateway that leads through to their very own 'Secret Garden' (First image by James Jebson Photography)

There was a suggestion of fairies and magical happenings in our designs with lots of gorgeous details
I love how our trees change with the seasons and never ever look the same

A section of the eclectic top table was dedicated to our Secret Garden theme
Just behind the Top Table on the shelf one of miniature Enchanted Trees
Our 'Secret Garden' Lanterns too suggested fairytales and included the ancient keys to the hidden gateway

'Bartle Hall's Orchard & Afternoon Teas'

Our Verdi Gris Candelabra design was inspired by the old Pear & Apple Orchards surrounding The Balmoral Suite
We'd included littles Cake Stands and Silver Tea Pots all dressed with fresh flowers a homage to the famous Bartle Hall Afternoon Tea

Lovely image by  James Jebson Photography

'Super Stylish & Crystal Clear'

These designs were inspired by one of our Bridal Couples, they'd given us their mood board to work with and we'd agreed to meet up with them at Bartle giving them the unique opportunity of seeing their designs in Bartle Hall

The super tall elegant table design was set on our crystal candlestick topped with fresh Avalanche Roses, Hydrangeas, Jasmine, Phalaenopsis Orchids and Shamrock.
The Bridal bouquet looked so crisp and clean, a gorgeous design of fresh Phalaenopsis Orchids with Crystal Blush Calla Lilies, fresh fragrant Jasmine and Pussy Willow

'Clay Pigeon Shooting Party'

This design was suggested by Jason, he'd been to a fabulous event organised by Bartle Hall, the day started with a delicious breakfast in The Windsor Suite followed by test driving Porsche's, a Clay Pigeon Shooting tournament (Jason won!!) and ended with the most delicious Afternoon Tea.

Our designs included cartridge shells, Pheasant feathers and rustic designs in natural wooden vessels

I loved the wedding bouquet we created to go with this theme

This design was a taller option on the same theme

Lilac's, Lavenders, Pinks & Violets for Emma & Paul at Crabwall Manor

We enjoyed working with Paul and Emma so much, what a great couple and though we always managed to have early breakfast appointments we always seemed to laugh a lot mostly at the antics of their new puppy. We'd never been to Crabwall Manor before so it was a voyage of discovery, it's always a pleasure to visit new places and meet new suppliers, Paul & Emma had booked some lovely wedding professionals including SMH Photography from Chester, we'd never met them before and had a great day working alongside them and Jayne Fairclough from Hair By Jayne,  Jessica Mooney from Jessica Mae MUA, there was a stunning gown  from the Blu Collection by Morilee from the great folks at Always & Forever Bridal in St Helens

In March last year we got together to go through their lovely mood board, we discussed their ideas and came up with a plan, Emma & Paul didn't like tall designs on the tables but wanted pedestal designs for their ceremony...
We met up again in July for an early appointment 8am on a Saturday is a big ask but they made it bright and early, we'd created a full set of sample bridal designs for them to see...
The Bridal Bouquet we'd made for Emma was a gorgeous collection of Roses, Lavender, Eustoma, Oregano, Rosemary, Hypericum, Senecio, Thalaspi, Grasses and Eucalyptus in pretty shades of lilacs, Lavenders, pinks and violets with green shades
The stems were left semi naked and were bound at the holding point with ivory satin ribbon

We'd made a sample boutonniere for Paul to see and decided on having a larger Rose in his actual boutonniere on the big day

Our Brampton Lantern looked great as a table centrepiece, set on a mirror plate and surrounded by posies of fresh flowers
The Top table design featured a series of bottles each filled with a posy of fresh flowers set on a row of mirrors illuminated by mirrored tea light votives, the Bride's bouquet would feature in the middle of the table and Bridesmaids bouquets to the outer edges
Before we knew it the big day had arrived and Jason was at Crabwall Manor bright and early ready to present the bridal bouquets
The FD Flower Box was filled to bursting with glorious Bridal Bouquets
Jason showed Emma how to carry her bouquet perfectly

The Boutonnieres were all lined up ready to be pinned to the lapels of the Groom's Men and special guests

Emma's super handsome Bride Groom the lovely Paul was first to have his rather special Memory Lane Boutonniere pinned to his Lapel

Jason pinned on all of the Boutonnieres ensuring each one was positioned perfectly

Inside Crabwall Manor the scene was set for the ceremony with our Brampton Lanterns lining the aisle and two gorgeous pedestals framing the Registrars table

The beautiful pedestals featured Lilac Delphiniums, Purple Larkspur, Roses, Hydrangeas and Purple Dahlias

The Registrars table was decorated with a collection of glass bottles each one filled with a posy of fresh fragrant blooms

The Bridesmaids looked gorgeous in their lavender and lilac gowns

Huge Congratulations to Emma & Paul from all of the team here at Flower Design Events

Emma's beautiful wedding bouquet included a collection of Roses, Lavender, Eustoma, Oregano, Rosemary, Hypericum, Senecio, Thalaspi, Grasses and Eucalyptus in pretty shades of lilacs, Lavenders, pinks and violets with green shades

A transformation had taken place in the ceremony room and it was now dressed for the most perfect wedding breakfast

Each table was dressed with a silver Brampton Lantern surrounded by posies of fresh flowers and mirrored tea light votives

The beautiful top table was framed by the two pedestals

Our work here was done, we'd had a great time working with these two gorgeous folks, many thanks to them for choosing FD Events to create their wedding flowers for them xxxx

'Take Three Flowers'& Make them Gorgeous for Rebecca & Matthew at St Joseph's Church Standish & Eaves Hall

Firstly let me just warn you, this an epic blog post of enormous proportions, which isn't bad to say there's only 3 flowers involved...
So this was the brief, just three flower varieties Roses 'Sweet Avalanche & Avalanche', 'Schneeball' Hydrangeas & 'Par Excellence' Gypsophilia, nothing more and nothing less, Rebecca & Matt knew exactly what they wanted and we were more than happy to oblige, these two are so absolutely on the same page and a huge pleasure for us to work with, what a tremendous day this was...

Rebecca & Matt had made the biggest Mood Board ever it had it's very own space in my office, I felt I knew it better than any other mood board, I really miss it now!! it was filled with the glorious designs that Rebecca & Matt had in mind, simple, elegant creations made with only Roses, Hydrangeas and Gypsophilia, they were also clear about colour, mainly pink for the Bridal bouquet and then everything else to be mainly ivory with a hint of pink, shapes were also important everything had to be very round, spherical almost. There were some other really unique aspects too, not least the fact that there was a wedding arriving at Church not 5 minutes after our wedding had left and we needed to remove the door arch and pedestals before they could go in with their flowers, and a rather special arched top table made by the family, but more of that later.

We were looking forward to working with some great wedding professionals too, our good friends Lisa & Roland from RT Productions & Wedding Films were filming the day,  David & Jane from Stanbury Photography were recording all of the magic, the great folks from Flossy & leigh were making everyone more lovely,  Rebecca's gorgeous gown and Bridesmaid's gowns were from Amelias Bridal and the cars were supplied by Memorable Journeys.

Here's that oh so magnificent Mood Board...
We met up again to present a full set of bridal samples...
Rebecca's wedding bouquet was a big hit
Matthew's sample Boutonniere was perfect.
The table design needed some tweaking, we got rid of the pink Hydrangeas and stuck to white, and they decided they preferred to see the flowers on top of our tall Crystal table stand

The suggestion for Pew End posies was admired

We'd made a couple of suggestions for their unique top table design but this one was a winner

Before we knew it their big day had arrived, the bouquets were all boxed up in our studio
Our vans were loaded up
The first delivery of the day was to the Bride's family home to present the bridal bouquets
Our beautiful Bride the lovely Rebecca was handed her bouquet of Sweet Avalanche Roses

I delivered the FD Bouquet carrying tutorial with Rebecca, Charlotte, Katie, Sarah & Beck
We headed off to St Joseph's Church to put up the floral arch around the front door

Our Floral Arch looked magnificent and fitted the arch perfectly

Inside this magnificent Church the scene was set for the ceremony

Two of our fabulous spherical Church Pedestals framed the altar perfectly

The Hydrangeas, Roses and Gyposphilia formed the most perfect sphere on top of our pedestals
Posies of Roses and Gypsophilia dressed each alternate Pew end lining the aisle

Outside all of the Boutonnieres were lined up ready for me to pin them to their lapels

Rebecca's super handsome Bride Groom the lovely Matthew was first to have his boutonniere of Sweet Avalanche Rose & Rolled Rose Petals with Gypsophilia and Eucalyptus leaves pinned to his lapel

I pinned on all of the boutonnieres ensuring each one was positioned perfectly

The beautiful Bride's Mum looked stunning
Our gorgeous Bridesmaids were next to arrive, carrying their Rose & Gypsophilia bouquets their gowns were by Kelsey Rose

The Bridesmaid's bouquets included a combination of Avalanche & Sweet Avalanche Roses with Gypsophilia 'Par Excellence'

Our Bride arrived in vintage style with her super proud Dad Steven

Our gorgeous Bride Rebecca looked absolutely breathtaking, she was wearing 'Erin' by Ronald Joyce

The Bride's Bouquet of  absolutely perfect Sweet Avalanche Roses from the Meijer Nursery (The Rolls Royce of Avalanche Roses), they were surrounded by a simple collar of Par Excellence Gypsophilia

Massive Congratulations to Rebecca & Matthew from all of the team here at Flower Design Events

Gorgeous Pew End Posies of fresh Roses and Gypsophilia

Baskets of fresh fragrant Rose Petal Confetti were ready to be handed out

I really love a fresh Rose Petal Confetti shower it really is utterly blissful!!!

What goes up must come down though, the arch had to be removed before the next wedding, the groom and guests had already arrived before our Bride & Groom had actually left all a bit stressful but our Jason just took it in his stride xxx
The celebrations moved on to the magical surroundings of magnificent Eaves Hall
Swags of fresh Roses, Hydrangeas and Gypsophilia were swathed around the columns at the entrance to Eaves Hall, our Chloe had been there all morning setting up for the reception

We'd filled a vase with fresh Roses, Hydrangeas and Gypsophilia to go in the centre table in the entrance hall at Eaves Hall

One of the exceptional managers at Eaves Hall Barry with Jason
Every detail was beautifully executed right down to the toiletries in the ladies powder room

The lovely Roland from RT Productions capturing all of the magic
Inside the Wedding Reception Room the scene was set with our tall Crystal table stands in the centre of the tables topped with spheres of fresh Roses, Hydrangeas and Gypsophilia
The corner top table looked perfect, we'd dressed it with an exquisite garland of fresh Roses and Hydrangeas with Gypsophilia

Floating candles, tea light votives and sphere shaped candles illuminated all of the tables perfectly

Some of the guests tables were dressed with posies of fresh flowers and a plethora of candles and fresh rose petals

Our work here was done it was time to leave the party in full swing, many thanks to Rebecca & Matthew and both of their fabulous families for choosing Flower Design to be their wedding florist we loved every second!!xxx

Wild & Wonderful Chris & Leanne's Outdoor Wedding at Sandhole Oak Barn

Regular FD blog readers please brace yourselves this is going to be one of those mammoth posts with a mega multitude of flower pics, there's just so many and I am, stupidly terrible at editing, I feel so tragic deleting images so I just don't!! apologies therefore for the scandalously ridiculous quantity!

I hasten to add alongside the flowers, sometimes behind them, sometimes wearing them, sometimes carrying them, sometimes just admiring them there are an equally ludicrous number of the most beautiful people and the most gorgeous gowns, stunning suits, beautiful spaces, gorgeous scenery, all in all you can conclude this is without doubt a truly magical wedding...
So our flower journey with Leanne & Chris started way back in April 2016 when we first met up to talk through their plans, other than Sandhole Oak Barn nothing else was booked, so we arranged to meet up again about 6 months before their big day to see their magnificent mood board and hear how things had progressed.

We learned about their unique ideas for a truly beautiful wedding day, copper and slate were definitely featuring, as to was Eucalyptus, relaxed and wild shapes and a Floral Crown were now on the agenda.

By this time too they'd booked some of our favourite wedding professionals not least the amazing Dan Wootton such a brilliant photographer,  Daz & Megan from Typical Type were on board with their really special Edison lights, there was a sensationally simple and elegant Charlie Brear gown from our friends at Mears Ghyll, Salon Glo were looking after everyone's hair and the lovely Katie Bee was going to be making beautiful faces even lovelier, it was great to be working with the fab folks from Top Table again they were providing all of the catering, Mark Ford from Studio 54D would be recording all of the magic, and the brilliant Robin Kershaw from DFC Lancashire was hosting the whole day and providing all of the entertainment, there was a lovely cake by Helen from Say it with Cupcakes and our Bride & Groom were creating their own stationery, lets face it with all of those wonderful suppliers it was always going to be a cracker!!!
We met up again in June for us to present a set of sample designs, an out door wedding was the plan but we needed a 'Plan B' should this not be possible, so we came up with some 'moveable' indoor and outdoor suggestions
A suggestion for the Top Table and Registrars table
Ideas for the guest tables
We made Chris and Leanne sample Boutonnieres and a sample Bridal bouquet

Before we knew it their August wedding was on the horizon, the week before we took delivery of some pretty amazing Succulents that we planned to use for their ceremony and reception flowers
Banksia Coccinea

By the Wednesday before a whole host of interesting and unique materials had arrived in the Flower Design Studio

Poppy Seed Heads

Nigella aka 'Love in the Mist'

Protea Barbigera & Amnesia Roses

Protea Neriifolia 'Pink Ice'& 'Cream Mink'

Viburnum Berry & Protea 'Bridal Blush'

Two days before the big day we had the pleasure of having the lovely Leanne in our studio, we created her floral crown with her, our Shirl wired and taped and I added bits at a time and then tried it on Leanne's head so we could add to it or take away ensuring it was absolutely perfect
In Leanne' s Bridal Crown, we included a huge variety of textures, Berries, Proteas, Grasses, fresh Herbs, Rolled Rose Petals, Thistles and florets in a range of shapes sizes and colours, we made it so it was thinner at the back and more full and voluptuous at the front, we wanted some of the grasses to dance as Leanne moved so we allowed them to be longer.

Perfect!!!xxx

We also made a miniature circlet for the beautiful Flower Girl

The Boutonnieres were also underway
On the wedding morning Jason & I were up and out early the bouquets were all boxed up and the van was loaded
We arrived at Sandhole Oak Barn about three hours ahead of the ceremony time
Leanne's Bouquet really did look glorious, the Proteas really added so much to this gloriously wild and textured design, I'd included lots of fresh Grasses too, the ceremony was always planned to be by the side of the lake, so I really wanted to include some lakeside materials, such as Typha & Chasmanthium Latifolia, fresh trails of Amaranthus and the Sea Holly seemed to be perfect accompaniments too, adding a watery vibe to the otherwise 'dry weather' Proteas.
Our Bride's own heirloom brooch was attached to the handle of the bouquet
I showed the Bridal Party how to carry their bouquets perfectly
The Bridesmaid's bouquets were all unique and individual but created as smaller versions of the brides bouquet

Inside the Bridal suite we fitted the Flower Girls Headdress making it just the right size for her

I have to say this little one really was the perfect Flower Girl carrying out her duties with grace and pride, always a smile on her face and a willingness to help, I could probably hire her out!!! xxxx
Too gorgeous for words!!!xx

The Bridesmaid's were all having fresh flowers in their hair, but done to suit their individual hairstyles, this works best when you have a great hair dresser on the wedding the team from Salon Glo were exceptional.

Dan Wootton was capturing all of the magic, it really is a huge pleasure to work with Dan he manages to create a really relaxed atmosphere and never misses a trick xx
Such a gorgeous gown by Charlie Brear from Mears Ghyll, we adored the simplicity of this elegant gown, it really was breathtaking and our stunning bride had the perfect figure to carry it off xxx

The beautiful Bride's Mum Denise seriously rocking those pj's, I made sure her wrist corsage fitted her perfectly too.

Outside on the lakeside the sun was shining the sky was blue and the scene was set for the ceremony, we found everyone at Sandhole Oak Barn to be hugely helpful, they seemed to thoroughly enjoy the flowers and took a real pride in their venue, it was a huge pleasure to work there.

Posies of fresh flowers decorated each alternate chair lining the aisle

The Registrars table was framed by some pretty incredible fresh flowers, Proteas and Succulents, we designed the Registrars table design to reflect the back drop, we'd arranged the flowers, foliages and grasses in a 'vegetative' style grouped and clustered to mirror the planting around the lake just behind.
Clusters of fresh Proteas, Grasses and Succulents with candlelit hurricane lanterns framed the Registrars table

Copper vessels filled with fresh Succulents were the perfect contrast to the more natural materials
The backdrop to the Registrars table is possibly one of the best I've ever seen
We lined up the boutonnieres ready to pin them on the Groom's party as they arrived

Chris Leanne's super handsome Bride Groom was first to have his rather special Boutonniere pinned to his lapel

The Groom's rather special Boutonniere featured Rolled Rose Petals both Quicksand & Amnesia with fresh Rosemary, Ferns, Thalaspi, Blushing Bride Protea, Rose Hips, Viburnum, Astrantia, Hydrangeas, Eucalyptus and Ivy leaves all bound with copper wire, the design was created as a miniaturised version of his Bride's bouquet
Jason pinned on all of the boutonnieres ensuring each one was positioned perfectly

We loved the ties
Each of the boutonnieres was unique designed to suit the height and build of each Groom's Man and all included a collection of fresh textured materials

In the Bridal preparation room, gowns were on and the headdresses were being attached
This 'Floral Crown' had a feeling of 'Titania' about it, all of the natural flowers and berries appeared as if they could have been picked from the grounds surrounding Sandhole Oak Barn, we'd tied the back simply with shoelace ribbon to add an element of naivety and innocence to the design.

Leanne looked incredible, the Bride's Floral Crown was so much more layered, many elements were used to add facets and layers of interest, with the dancing grasses creating movement and a magical feel, I wish too that you could take in the fragrance of the headdress it really was a heavenly thing, fresh and herby, clean and cool, sweet like fresh cut grass.

Absolutely perfect...

The Bride's Mum Denise looked perfect too...
The Bride's Mum's Wrist corsage featured a beautiful cluster of 'Snowflake' Rose buds with Lacey Astrantia and Thalaspi to match her dress

Outside Chris and his Best Man Mike waited patiently...

Team Bride got into position just around the corner

The Bridesmaid's bouquets matched the blush shade of their gowns perfectly

Too cute for sure...

Oh me oh my, utterly breathtaking!!!

Massive Congratulations to Chris & Leanne from all of the team here at Flower Design Events

Fresh fragrant Rose Petals were handed out by the beautiful Bridesmaids ready for when our Bride & Groom headed back down the aisle

Don'y you just love a shower of fresh fragrant rose petal confetti

Brushing up the Rose Petals the team from Top Table, they were absolutely amazing on the day xx
Fresh Plants on step ladders provided the seating plan
Inside the main Barn the scene was set for the reception
Typical Types fabulously atmospheric Edison light bulbs looked just wonderful

Each table was dressed with fresh fragrant Eucalyptus, posies of fresh flowers in a variety pf random containers and vessels

Wooden trays of fresh Succulents looked so beautiful

The beautiful cake created by Helen from Say it with Cupcakes looked stunning, we'd dressed it with fresh flower corsages

All of the napkins were dressed with a sprig of fresh fragrant Rosemary

I love the Russian Roulette of these little video snippets I honestly can't remember who it was singing on the end of this one but I suspect Dad Wootton xxxx

The canapes looked delicious

Our Verdi Gris Candelabras provided height, texture and flickering illumination on the tables

Crates of fresh flowers sat on the top table at either end framing the Bridal party so beautifully

Bouquets of fresh flowers ready for presentation during the speeches

Our little verdi gris urns were filled with fresh flowers

Robin from DFC was ready to take to the microphone

The very gorgeous Mr & Mrs Bromage

Now for all those folks who ask if their hair flowers will last, let me re-assure you this snap was taken on my phone at about 1am when we went to do the clear down and Leanne and her hair flower still look as good as they did at 1pm, sadly I am looking rather bedragled!!!xx
The fresh flowers were all left for our Bride & Groom to distribute amongst friends and family before heading for home the following morning
Massive thanks to Leanne & Chris for choosing Flower Design Events to create their wedding flowers for them we loved every second xxx

Another one of those mega posts I'm afraid but I'm not sorry, I have really enjoyed re-visiting this beautiful wedding day, brimming over as it was with tons of love and wonderful flowers. Victoria & Karl enjoyed what can only be described as the perfect day. They had planned it, they had worked hard on the details, they'd been so thoughtful and considerate throughout, I for one thoroughly enjoyed our meetings, they always seemed to be in the evening and we chatted a lot so when the day arrived we all knew each other really well and I knew for sure the flowers we'd made were just right for them!!!...

Following our first meeting we met up again to go through their mood board, it was, compared to some boards simple, but without doubt it was perfectly formed and included all of the essential details that help us create spectacular wedding flowers.
~
There was a great collection of wedding professionals on board too, we were looking forward to working with Nichola Morton Photography, there was a gorgeous gown from Creation Weddings in Wigan by Ronald Joyce, Hair was being done by Nicola from Sam Gateley, Make up was by our great friend Sonara Parker and there was to be a lovely Cake by Kelly Cakes
We got together again to present a set of sample bridal designs for the two of them to see and try out

We'd made table centres too
At last the big day arrived and we were over at the fabulous Bartle Hall bright and early with a van filled with beautiful blue flowers
We had a box of exquisite Bridal Bouquets ready to present to Victoria and her Bridesmaids
I presented the bridal bouquets in The Clifton Suite at Bartle where the bridal party were all getting ready

I loved this naturally blue and ivory wedding bouquet of White Peonies, Roses, Freesia, Love in the Mist, Forget Me Nots and Blue Hydrangeas

Our Beautiful Bride Victoria with Paris & Tia
Amanda was having her hair done by the lovely Nicola from Sam Gatley Bridal Hair
In The Balmoral Suite at Bartle Hall the scene was set for the ceremony with beautifully tall elegant pedestals framing both the foot of the aisle and the head of the aisle
Two of our majestic pedestals topped with fresh pale blue Delphiniums,Hydrangeas, Roses, Dahlias and Stocks stood on either side of the Registrars table, posies of fresh Gypsophilia and Hydrangeas dressed the ledge just behind the table

A candlelit design decorated the Registrars table perfectly

Outside in the courtyard I pinned on all of the boutonnieres and corsages, Victoria's super handsome Bride Groom Karl was wearing a special Boutonniere designed to co-ordinate with his Bride's Bouquet and to fit his lapel.
Karl's Boutonniere featured an Avalanche Rose with Bubbles Rose Buds, Love in the Mist, Freesia and Foliage, we'd bound the stem with navy blue ribbon to match his jacket perfectly.
We pinned on all of Karl's Groom's Men's Boutonnieres ensuring each one was perfectly positioned

A small and dainty corsage created for the very petite Kate we'd designed it in blue shades to compliment her blue outfit
Kate's corsage looked perfect
The Groom's Mum's corsage included some of the elements we'd included in her son's boutonniere and then extra blooms to compliment her magenta ensemble
The Groom's Mum Anne looked lovely her corsage complimented her outfit beautifully

We'd made a wrist corsage for the Bride's Mum Lynne
The super elegant Bride's Mum Lynne looked stunning her wrist corsage completed her outfit perfectly

Back in the Bride's Room, Victoria looked absolutely breathtaking, we handed out the bouquets making sure everyone had the right one

The Bridesmaids Bouquets were created as smaller simpler versions of the Brides Bouquet, we'd used Gypsophilia to compliment the tiny white flowers on their dresses

Our Bride's bouquet really was quite perfect with her gown
Amanda's bouquet looked fabulous against her navy blue gown

Father of the Bride Frank was completely blown away when he saw his stunning daughter...

Paris & Tia practised their walk

It was lovely to see our old friend Registrar Malcolm Campbell conducting the ceremony

Huge Congratulations to Victoria & Karl from all of the team here at Flower Design Events

Massive thanks to Karl & Victoria for choosing Flower Design Events we loved every second of this gorgeous wedding day xxx

David & Julie's Intimate Outdoor Seaside Wedding at The Villa in Wrea Green

This was such a great wedding, we'd first met up with Julie and David way back in 2009 when their hotel was featured on the Hotel Inspector, we had a superb evening staying at their beautiful B&B Langtrys and have provided flowers for them in the intervening years.
We were so excited for them and their plans for an outdoor wedding ceremony at The Villa in Wrea Green. Julie had a really clear plan for the colour scheme 'Royal Blue & Yellow Gold' and their theme was to include a nod to the Sea Side.
The scene was set for a magical out door ceremony in the Pagoda in the gardens at The Villa
We'd dressed the posts with swags of fresh flowers in Blue and yellow shades, we included 'Blue Bees' Volkefrieden Delphiniums with Cardifolium Leucaspernum, Calla Lilies, Brassicas, Roses and lots of foliages

The Registrars table was dressed with a series of Goldfish Bowls filled with fresh flowers and sea shells

The Bride Groom David was first to have his rather special Boutonniere pinned to his jacket and very handsome he looked too!!!

Jason pinned on all of the Groom's Men's Boutonnieres ensuring each one was perfectly positioned

Our gorgeous Bride Julie had decided not to carry a wedding bouquet and had instead chosen to have fresh flowers in her hair instead
Fresh DElphiniums, Rose Buds and Sea Holly in the Bride's Hair

Massive Congratulations to Julie & David from all of the team here at Flower Design Events

Our Bride and Groom were showered with fresh fragrant fresh Rose Petal confetti

Inside the Villa in The Piano Bar the bannisters framing the foot of the stairs were dressed with fresh flower swags

Inside the intimate private dining area the tables were dressed with bowls filled with 'Sea side' inspired designs

The large bowls were filled with fresh flowers, seashells, coral and star fish

We'd trailed sand around the bowls
The sea shell wedding cake looked wonderful

Each of the small tables were dressed with our seaside inspired bowls

Huge thank you to Julie & David from all of the team here at Flower Design Events
