Sunflowers & Sunshine for Helen & Stephen's Beautiful Turquoise & Yellow Wedding at St John The Baptist Broughton & The Great Hall at Mains

Our Josie & Malcolm were presenting these magnificent Bridal Bouquets of Golden Sunflowers, Avalanche Roses, Sweet Peas and Craspedia to the lovely Helen and her equally lovely Bridesmaids on Saturday morning
 Over st St John's Church in Broughton two magnificent designs of Sunflowers and Roses framed the space where the ceremony was to take place
 Our super handsome Bride Groom the lovely Stephen was first to have his boutonniere of a White Rose with Sweet Peas pinned to his lapel

The Groom's Men were all wearing Ivory Rose Boutonnieres finished with lemon & Turquoise Ribbon

The adorable Flower Girl was carrying a Magic Wand dressed with tiny Sunflowers and the little Page Boy was wearing a miniature Boutonniere



 The Bridesmaids were wearing turquoise gowns and carried Bouquets of Sunflowers, Craspedia, Sweet Peas and Ivory Roses, the contrast was simply sublime!!!



 Helen looked utterly breathtaking when she arrived at Church carrying her magnificent Sunflower Bridal Bouquet





 Huge Congratulations to Helen & Stephen from all of the team here at Flower Design Events


 The celebrations continued in the wonderful surroundings of The Great Hall at Mains where one of our magical Enchanted Trees created a fabulous Seating Plan

 The Tree was dressed with Sunflowers and Craspedia with Thalaspi, Pearls and Diamante droplets

On the Bar a fabulous Design used in Church first but looking equally at home in this new position welcoming guests as they arrived


The tables were dressed with a combination of high and low table designs adding texture and colour to the dining hall
Fabulous High Vases topped with contorted Hazel and Sun flowers and low candlelit Birdcages and Goldfish Bowls were the low alternative
 The Goldfish Bowls with a large and chunky candle in the centre surrounded by Sunflowers and swirling grasses
 Our Lovely Birdcage designs illuminated by candle light and surrounded by Sunflowers, Sweet Peas, Peonies, Avalanche Roses and Craspedia

 Two of the Pew End Posies from Church were used to add decoration to the Cake table

The Exquisite Wedding Day of Laura & Stephen at St Vincent de Paul in Altrincham & Peckforton Castle

We were so, so excited about this glorious wedding day, we've known Laura and her wonderful family for many years and it was a great pleasure and honour to be able to create the bridal flowers for such an important and memorable day!!!!
We presented Laura and her beautiful Bridesmaids with their bridal bouquets, bright and early
This is a very important lesson learned don't put a mint in your mouth just before delivering the all important "FD Events Bridal Bouquet Carrying Lesson"
I introduced our very excited Bride to all of the heavenly blooms in her wedding bouquet
We headed off to St Vincent de Paul Church in Altrincham where the welcome was warm and the entrance was dressed by a glorious array of lanterns and fresh flowers



 Inside Laura's super lovely & uber handsome Bride Groom Stephen was first to have his rather special Boutonniere pinned on of a "Crystal Blush" Calla Lily & English Garden Rose "Patience" together with Rolled Quicksand Petals and fresh Rosemary

Each of the Groom's Men were treated to individual and entirely different Boutonnieres created using a unique combination of flowers used in the Bridal Bouquets
A lovely Boutonniere of a "Juliet" English Garden Rose from David Austin and two tiny "Snowflake" Rose buds
A "Blanchette" Rose with Rosemary and Hydrangeas
 A lovely white Peony Boutonniere on Grandad
Jars filled with white Lilac, Roses, Sweet Peas, Hydrangeas and Hostas

Spectacular Pedestals framed the altar of White Delphiniums, Solomons Seal, Hydrangeas, Antirhinnums, Stocks and foliages
The lecturn was dressed with fresh flowers

 A beautiful spray of Delphiniums, Stocks, Peonies and Roses laid on the altar

Our truly beautiful Bride's Mum the lovely Julie had both a handbag and an epaulette Corsage in soft pinks to compliment her ensemble
Laura's heavenly Bridesmaid's carried individually created bouquets
The Bridesmaid's Bouquets were mainly ivory with pastel shaded English Garden Roses from David Austin with Sweet Peasand splendidly blousy Peonies they complimented their pearl grey gowns perfectly

Laura arrived and took everyone's breath away




Laura's Bridal Bouquet was a huge, soft and romantic confection is pale ivories and gentle pastels I included some luscious Peonies, English Garden Roses, Sweet Peas, Hydrangeas and Calla Lilies, the handle of the bouquet was wrapped in lace taken from the Brides Mum's own Bridal gown

The celebrations moved on to the historic and magical surroundings of Peckforton Castle

Inside the scene was set for a magnicent banquet
The top table was dressed with a voluptuous design inspired by "The Hanging Gardens of Babylon" 
A beautiful cake garland of "Blanchette" & "Snowflake" Roses with the rolled petals "Quicksand" and fragrant Freesia buds
The dining tables were dressed with a combination of high and low designs, our tall elegant Crystal Candlesticks and crystal cake stands

The stunning candlesticks were overflowing with Solomons Seal, White Delphiniums, White Peonies, Phalaenopsis Orchids, Roses, Freesia, Lilac and Sweet Peas



The low crystal cake stands topped with Stocks, Antirhinnums, Roses, Peonies, Hydrangeas, Freesias, Blanchette, Quicksand, Avalanche Roses, White Lilac and Phalaenopsis Orchids


Glass vases filled with posies of Ranunculas, Lilacs, Sweet Peas and Freesias were at the base of each tall design

A Sneaky Peek at Faye & Michael's White Rose Wedding Day at St Chad's Poulton & The Grand Hotel

Exquisite finest quality Avalanche Roses were the signature flower for this gloriously stylish wedding, The lovely Faye carried a bridal bouquet of these majestic blooms each ivory rose was studded with a diamante

The lovely little Flower Girl carried a "Magic Wand" with Avalanche & Snowflake Roses and Diamantes
The stunningly simple Akito Rose Boutonnieres complete with Champagne Grass, Ivy and bound in black ribbon
The rather special lady guests were all treated to lovely wrist corsages each one including white Roses but accessorised to match their individual ensembles, this one was designed to match the lime green and navy outfit and  included Viburnum Opulus & Viburnum Tinnus
These two lovely ladies were both wearing Ivory Rose Wrist Corsages

The tables were dressed with our magnificent Baroque Candelabra, each of the candles were tied with a bow in the signature black ribbon and studded with a diamante (The candles were all battery operated in line the venues "No Candles" policy)

The top table looked clean and crisp with glass vases each dressed with black ribbon and diamantes and containing posies of white Roses



Faye & Michael's stunning cake was topped with a White Rose & Champagne Grass topper

Our lovely Birdcage card collector was on display in the bar area

The Grand is such a smart and stunning space to celebrate a wedding, the perfect choice for a couple who are contemporary but with classic and traditional values

This was such a glorious wedding day, seriously seasonal, this was way back in October and as the celebrations were taking place deep in the heart of the Trough of Bowland it was important to include lots of autumnal goodies, "Jewels of the Season" you might say, Glossy Berries, Rose Hips, Acorns and "Classic" Hydrangeas a recipe for autumnal perfection at The Inn at Whitewell.
~
 The first delivery of the day was of course up to the Bride's suite to present Bridal Bouquets, Leanne's Bouquet included rich deep aubrgine Calla Lilies, Vintage toned Roses; Memory Lane & Amnesia, fragrant herbs; Lavender & Rosemary, Acorns, Rosehips, Viburnum berries, Albiflora, Thistles and Autumnal Oak Leaf
 Our beautiful Bride the lovely Leanne 
 Bridesmaids in PJ's complete with Bridal Bouquets, learning how to carry them properly from our Jason
 Downstairs in the restaurant the scene was set with two of our lovely Regency Candelabras framing The Registrars table which was dressed with a traditional candlelit design



 Leanne's uber handsome Bride Groom the lovely Joel was wearing a rather special boutonniere to compliment his Bride's Bouquet
 The Groom's Mum's purple Corsage
 Wild Boutonnieres each one different from the rest yet created in the style of the Bridal Bouquets
  The Groom's very elegant Mum complete with Calla Lily Corsage
Jason pinned on everyone's Boutonnieres and corsages for them

 On the windowsills a variety of bottles, jars and vessels were all filed with a glorious array of seasonal flora

The celebrations moved on to the light and airy surroundings of The Inn at Whitewell's own Marquee where the tables were dressed with a variety of high and low table centres

 A collection of random bottles and jars all dressed with hessian, jute, raffia and ribbon and filled with Calla Lilies. Heather, Roses, Hydrangeas and berries
Luscious wreaths of flowers surrounding our candlelit Hurricane lamps



 


 On the top table a traditional design with two chunky candles in the centre and fresh flowers emanating towards the outer reaches of the table

I've known these two lovely girls Michelle & Caroline since they were in Infant school they were in the same years as my two daughters so it was a great pleasure and honour to create bridal flowers for the lovely Michelle's wedding to her childhood sweetheart the equally lovely Dave!!!

Jason presented both Michelle & Caroline with their bouquets of Roses, Sweet Peas and glorious Peonies, in soft youthful shades of pinks, lilacs and ivories

We headed off to St Annes Parish Church to meet up with Dave and his friends and family to pin on their Boutonnieres


Each of the very special guests were given simple Boutonnieres created using flowers taken from the Bridal Bouquets

























Dave really did look super handsome in his uniform

The Pews were dressed with posies of Roses, Ranunculas and Gypsophila in glass jars


A glorious candlelit arrangement graced the altar







The Bridal Party arrived looking totally fabulous

The Bridesmaid's Bouquets included a summery collection of fresh fragrant Sweet Peas, Roses, Peonies, Wax Flower blossom and Peonies

The celebrations moved on to The Gibbon Bridge Hotel where the top table was dressed with a traditional candlelit design of Pink Peonies, Roses, Sweet Peas, Wax Flower Blossom and Gypsophilia
The tables were dressed with elegant posies of Sweet Peas, Ranunculas, Peonies and Roses with a central Hurricane Lamp and sprinklings of fresh fragrant Rose Petals

This was such a beautiful wedding at one of our favourite venues the wonderful Browsholme Hall and Tithe Barn, Terri and Ben had a really clear brief and the following images show their excellent taste perfectly!!

In the "Upper Tithe Barn" our magnificent oversized Martini Vases were filled with tall Branches of fresh Blossom, sweet scented Stocks, Roses, Viburnum Opulus, Hydrangeas, Hostas, White Hydrangeas, Anastasia and Peonies



In the "Lower Tithe Barn" the scene was set with two huge pedestal designs framing the Registrars Table, four candlelit Candelabras at the foot of the aisle
The two huge pedestals were taller than the door frame and towered over the space with magnificence


Our super handsome Bride Groom the lovely Ben was first to have his boutonniere pinned on by our Ruby, his boutonniere included a Vendella Rose and white Sweet Peas

Whilst guests enjoyed celebratory drinks the Lower Tithe Barn was transformed into a magnificent banqueting hall

We were all looking forward to this beautiful wedding,  Zoe is the most beautiful of Brides with equally beautiful taste, the look was to be soft and romantic, gentle pinks and ivories, exquisitely fragranced blooms throughout and in Zoe's glorious wedding bouquet a plethora of summer loveliness; Lily of the Valley, Sweet Peas, Peonies and Roses
Her spectacular possie of "Onsie'd" Bridesmaids complete with their Bridesmaid's Bouquets

Zoe even manages to look gorgeous in her Rollers!!!
The Bridal Bouquet was bound in ivory satin and pinned with her own vintage brooch


At St Nicholas in Wrea Green, the Lytch Gate was dressed with a glorious garland of Wax Flower Blossom and Gypsophila
We hung candlelit lanterns on the Lytch Gate
























The day was showered with "Blessings" which is always a good sign for a happy and long marriage
Our spiralled stemmed "Bay Trees" framed the door way
Inside Roses and Hearts dressed the end of each pew lining the aisle

The Celebrations were to be inside the spectacular brand new pavillion at The Villa in Wrea Green where the tables were dressed with a collection of high and low table designs

The Stunning "Green" Wedding Day of Grace & Anton at St Lawrence's Church Longridge & Mitton Hall

We love this family, they are such great people to work with, I was so looking forward to presenting Grace with her Bridal Bouquets and I wasn't disappointed she was thankfully thrilled...
Grace's Bridal Bouquet was in shades of soft greens and creamy ivories


The beautiful Bride and all of her fabulous Bridesmaids and adorable Flower Girls enjoyed the wedding bouquet carrying lesson




The day was showered with blessings from above but St Lawrence's in Longridge still looked majestic surrounded by luscious gardens and our lanterns
We lined the path with candle lit lanterns on hooks and fresh fragrant Rose Petals
There was a beautiful archway of fresh flowers over the door and two Bay trees and lanterns framing the door romantically

Inside this exquisite Church we'd created a visually warm welcome with these two floor standing Candelabras at the foot of the aisle

Posies of fresh flowers on alternate Pew ends 
Magnificent Candlelit Pedestal Designs were on either side of the ceremony space
Posies of Roses, Hydrangeas, Astrantia, Wax Flower and Alchemilla Mollis in glass jars were hanging from the end of alternate pews lining the aisle

We lined up the Boutonnieres on the windowsill ready to be pinned on to the all important Bride Groom, Ushers and special wedding guests
The Bride Groom's Green Rose with Lily of the Valley, Sweet Peas, Champagne Grass, Ivy and Wax Flower Blossom
Each Boutonniere was created individually, each one toning with the green theme but entirely different from the other Boutonnieres, this beautiful Boutonniere included a Ranuncula, Thalaspi, Wax Flower and Viburnum Opulus
An Akito Rose Boutonniere with Green Viburnum Opulus with Thalaspi, Wax Flower and fragrant Rosemary
Beautiful Boutonniere of Sweet Peas, Wax Flower, Champagne Grass and Rosemary
Lovely White & Green Boutonniere featuring two "Snowflake" Rose Buds with Viburnum Opulus, Thalaspi, Rosemary and Wax Flower
Usher's Boutonniere of Fragrant Freesia, Thalaspi, Rosemary, Wax Flower and Champagne Grass
All of these beautiful Boutonnieres were finished off with a pearl pin and complementary Ribbon

White Peonies for Karen & Tim's Stylish St Leonard's & Samlesbury Hall Wedding Day

It was such an honour to be involved with this glorious wedding our beautiful Bride Karen is the daughter of Sharon "Head Honcho & Chief of All" at Samlesbury Hall, the team at Samlesbury are truly wonderful and their passion for this historic and magical hall can't be shown more beautifully than for the lovely Sharon to want to celebrate her daughter's marriage within its walls.

Our beautiful Bride together with her Bridesmaids were getting ready in The Bridal Lodge at Samlesbury Hall when I found her to present the Bridal Bouquets of White Peonies, White Hydrangeas, Sweet Peas and Lily of the Valley



Our Ruby headed off to St Leonard the Less in search of Karen's Bride Groom Tim and his party to pin on their Boutonnieres

The Bride Groom's Boutonniere of fragrant Lily of the Valley, Rolled Rose Petals, Champagne Grass, Akito Rose, Sweet Peas, Hydrangeas and Eucalyptus leaves

The celebrations moved on to the wonderful surroundings of Samlesbury Hall, where Angela and her team were ready to welcome the guests
The tables were dressed with a combination of high and low table designs, for the higher designs we used our classic "Baroque" style candelabras filled with Hydrangeas, Roses, Freesias, Stocks and Dendrobiums and Peonies

Our fabulous Candlestick Topiaries filled with Fluffy White "Snowball" Hydrangeas, David Austin's Patience Rose, Sweet Peas, Stocks, Dendrobiums and white Peonies
 
Along the magnificent Top table where guests would be sitting on both sides of the table we'd arranged a plethora of various vases and vessels each filled with a posy of White Peonies, Roses, Hydrangeas or Sweet Peas or Stocks in between and amongst was an array of votives and indoor oil burners


On the dining tables "Plumptious" bouquets of white Peonies, Roses, Hydrangeas, Freesia, Sweet Peas
and David Austin's finest "Patience" Roses were placed in varying sizes of glass cubes amongst a plethora of candles in rustic glassware










Once the candles were ignited and and the festoon lights illuminated the Great Hall became utterly magical

We were looking forward to this wedding for ages we've been lucky enough to create wedding and event flowers for "The Buschini family" many times before and it was such a joy to meet "The Duffy Family" we knew this was going to be an amazing "Do", they all have exciting and vibrant taste, the Bride & Groom are absolutely stunning a "Golden Couple" you might say, what's not to love, this is one of those great and iconic weddings you remember always!!!!

Our super handsome Bride Groom, the totally dynamic Sam wearing a Yellow "Claire de Lune" Peony  & a Darcey Rose with Lily of the Valley and "Bumble Bee" Orchids Boutonniere
Each of the Groom's Men were wearing a Peony in a different Shade in their Buttonholes together with a sprig of fresh Lily of The Valley


St Wulston's in Fleetwood was the venue for the wedding ceremony
We'd lined the pathway with candlelit lanterns and posies of fresh fragrant flowers

Inside St Wulstons the fabulous "Ladies of the Church Flower Team" had dressed the Altar in lemon and white blooms, we decorated the pews with posies of fresh flowers in jam jars hanging on Faye's signature long ribbons
 
Each delicate posy was in bright vivid shades of fragrant flowers including Roses, Stocks, Peonies, Sweet Peas, Oncidium Orichids & Lily of the Valley
Faye loved the look of long ivory ribbons we continued this look throughout

On the windowsills posies of Hydrangeas, Peonies, Sweet Peas and Oncidium Orchids
The Groom's Mum Angela looked totally stunning and was wearing a wrist corsage of Coral Peonies the Peony being the signature flower of the day
Gorgeous Guests arrived and we pinned on or attached Boutonnieres and wrist corsages each one designed to compliment their individual ensembles


The Church was beginning to fill up, we'd placed two large pedestals at the foot of the aisle to welcome guests as they arrived
Elegantly tall Delphiniums towered over the designs a plethora of Peonies, Stocks, Orchids, Solomons Seal, Roses and Hydrangeas created a colourful welcome









The stunning Brides Mum along with the glorious Bridesmaids were next to arrive
The beautiful Bridesmaids were a vision in lemon and carried vibrant bouquets of Peonies and Sweet Peas
Each of these lovely Bridesmaids were wearing Phalaenopsis Orchids in their hair


The Bridesmaid's Bouquets toned vibrantly with the girl's yellow gowns, we used a myriad of Peonies in every shade available alongside some equally glorious Sweet Peas

The Ivory Satin long "Floppy" Bows was a motif carried throughout the bouquets

Our beautiful Bride was carried in a "Malvern Car" through the busy streets of week day Fleetwood

This wedding was always going to be delicious just like "Fresh Apricots and Vanilla Ice Cream", a thoroughly scrumptious Bride & Groom with an equally adorable family, Emma and I had the very best meetings, I'm really going to miss her. 
Emma's brief was seriously detailed with lots of personal touches, glorious shades of Apricots, Peaches, Cream and Vanilla Ice Cream, seasonal a fragrant blooms, lots of light and shade all in all the perfect floral wedding.
~
Ridiculously early Jason & I went up to Whitewell to set up for the reception (A slight incident involving a Candelabra being blown off the van was part of our eventful morning) our Ruby & Steph headed off to present the Bridal Bouquets to our beautiful Bride and Bridesmaid.
Emma's Bouquet in soft peachy apricot and creamy ivory shades included David Austin's English Garden Roses "Juliet" & "Keira", fresh Lily of the Valley, the voluptuous Peony "Bowl of Cream", "Blanchette" & "Bombastic" Floribunda Rose, "Quick Sand" & "Cream Vendella" Roses, Eucalyptus, Rosemary, Stacys and "Peachy Flair" Hypericum Berries, the handle was finished with lace and Emma's own vintage Brooch

Jason had already been to St Leonard's to fit the door Arch of Hydrangeas, Roses, Peonies & Hypericum
Inside this lovely Church Ruby & Steph set up the two glorious pedestal designs and attached the Pew End Buckets, fresh flowers were arranged on the Altar and windowsills
We attached the little buckets filled with sweet scented Stocks, Roses, Hypericum, Hydrangeas, Spirea and Stacys to the end of each alternate Pew our wicker hearts were on the other pew ends

The Pedestal designs were dominated by tall elegant white Delphiniums with "Bowl of Cream" Peonies, "Juliet" Roses, Stocks, Hydrangeas, Hostas, Eucalyptus, Spirea, Quicksand, Vendella, Bombastic and Blanchette Roses with vibrant "Peachy Flair" Hypericum

All of the Boutonnieres were lined up and ready, each one was created individually and included fresh flowers from the Bride's Bouquet, the stems were finished off with complimenting lace and ribbon

This really was a truly magical wedding day, glorious sunshine, heavenly flowers, a beautiful Bride a handsome Bride Groom, two fabulous families all with great taste and lots of love, by the bucket load in fact and lets face it you really don't need anything else to make the perfect wedding day!!!!
~
I have to warn you dear reader this posting is bordering on self indulgence (Well perhaps a little more than bordering!!!), you see we had such a magnificent collection of fresh flowers to play/work with, we all felt so proud of the designs created that we did take rather a lot of images, so apologies in advance but some of these images are so good (The ones our Ruby took) you can almost smell sweet scents of the flowers!!!

We'll begin at the beginning with the presentation of the Bridal Bouquets
Our lovely Bride Andrea handles her fragrant Bridal Bouquet for the first time, it was such a hot day on Saturday and these bouquets felt cool to the touch
Oh yes the perfume was just divine
Andrea's Bridal Bouquet in soft shades of delicate pinks and ivories, I included, Lily of the Valley, Sweet Peas, Peonies in a plethora of pink and ivory varieties and David Austin's English Garden Roses
I did the all important Wedding Bouquet carrying lesson
Our stunning Bride & Bridesmaids were all naturals
The Bridesmaid's Bouquets were bound in the same fabric as their gowns


The fabulous Sonara Parker was doing her stuff with the make up on these lovely ladies
At the iconic Lytham St Annes Church St Cuthbert's the Lytch Gate was getting it's 20th dowsing with fresh water courtesy of our Josie
Inside the Pew end Posies of Roses and Hydrangeas were being attached to each alternate pew by the FD Events Team
Two elegant pedestals of Peonies, Hydrangeas, Roses and long plumes of Phalaenopsis Orchids in our silver chalices framed the ceremony space perfectly
On the Altar two "L" shaped designs framed the "Cross" perfectly, these designs were left in Church after the ceremony
The Boutonnieres were lined up ready to be pinned on to the jackets of the all important guests
Each Boutonniere was created individually, no two were the same, all were finished off with ribbon and a pearl pin

This is such a stunning wedding, so perfectly planned, beautifully thought out, exquisitely put together with a delicate touch, the lovely Tina and her equally lovely Mum Lucia and I have had a plethora of creative appointments, I am really going to miss them, I was so thrilled with this wedding that it brought a tear to my eye when I saw the lovely Tina walking up the aisle, I hope you'll enjoy it as much as we did dear reader....

Tina's Wedding Bouquet in soft gentle shades of Ivory, Cream and "Palamino" (The shade of the Bridesmaid's Gowns) the handle was bound with lace and finished of with some precious family heirlooms

I included Sweet Peas, Lily of the Valley, Stachys, David Austin's Patience Rose my favourite Peony "Bowl of Cream" with Astrantia, Champagne Grass and lots of other lovely Rose varieties besides
Our Favourite Make Up Artist the fab Sonara Parker we hope she didn't mind us disturbing her work too much to present the bridal bouquets

...Well almost!!!
Jason & I headed off to The Great Hall at Mains to put the finishing touches to the ceremony dressing
On either side of the fireplace two of our fabulous Baroque Candelabras overflowing fresh fragrant blooms, lace and pearls were on pedestal stands framing the ceremony area

The Candelabras oozed fragrance from the fresh Stocks, Peonies, Roses, Sweet Peas and Hydrangeas
At the foot of the aisle two of our glorious floor standing Baroque Candelabras swathed in Lace, Strings of Pearls and a profusion of fragrant blooms
On the floor standing Candelabras I used a wonderful collection of English Garden flowers and foliages including Spirea Blossom, Solomon's Seal, Hydrangeas, Roses, peonies and Sweet Peas with trails of Ivy and Sperengerii
Rose Petals and Hurricane Lamps lined the aisle carpet creating a fragranced walkway for our Bride

On the Bar a candlelit "Bird Cage" design

In the centre of the Registrars table was on our lovely glass "Cloche" designs filled with Roses and Hydrangeas
On the second Registrars table a design featuring a "French Fancy" stand and little perfume bottles all filled with fresh flowers
Our Groom welcomed guests as they arrived at the French Windows entrance we'd dressed it with our own Bay Trees studded with White Rose Buds and drenched in Pearls and lace, Candlelit Lanterns on either side of the door way and later a profusion of Rose Petals scattered on the floor completed the look beautifully

This was such a beautiful wedding day, Laura and I had enjoyed a good few creative meetings and it was such a joy to see the final collection of glorious "English Country Garden Blooms" gathered together on the big day in a soft vintage style perfect for Laura's classically beautiful look

The celebrations moved on to the lovely surroundings of The Shireburn Arms where the tables were dressed with glorious tied bouquets in lovely vintage lead crystal vases courtesy of the lovely Chris Grattan from Beautifully Vintage China, Chris also provided some beautiful Vintage tableaus around the Shireburn and all of the vintage china on the tables
On the top table the central crystal pedestal bowl filled with a glorious array of fresh flowers was the focal point with delicate tiny posies placed along the length of the table


Each of the table designs were unique a different vase and a different bouquet of delicately shaded blooms on each dining table


The delicious  "Victoria Sponge" wedding cake dressed with fresh fruit and vintage Roses

The two Baroque style floor standing Candelabras were placed at either end of the top table

Ruby & I had the pleasure of looking after this glorious wedding, it really was such a joy, Gemma & Paul have wonderful taste, they are both truly beautiful and were celebrating this special day in iconic and rather special venues.
~
So the day began with our presentation of Bridal Bouquets to Gemma and her family
Gemma's Bridal Bouquet and Jodie's smaller Bridesmaids Bouquet were created in soft gentle vintage pinks and ivories with exquisite white Peonies, Roses in vintage pink tones including Faith, Sweet Avalanche, Bombastic, Quicksand, 4 Good and Metalina, Astrantia, Lily of the Valley, Palest Pink Hydrangeas, Lissianthus, Sweet Peas and Thalaspi

The handle of the Bridal Bouquet was bound in soft ivory lace

The wedding bouquet carrying lesson went like a dream!!!
I introduced Gemma & Jodie to each flower in their bouquets





Then Ruby & I headed off to St John's Church on The Green just facing the iconic Lytham Windmill

Inside this stunning Church we arranged two huge vintage style pedestal designs on either side of the ceremony space, posies of fresh flowers in jam jars on the ends of each alternate pew end and a Birdcage surrounded by fresh flowers on the Font
Shirl had created the pedestals using tall elegant white Delphiniums, Dr Fleming & Bowl of Cream Peonies, Stocks, Roses, Hydrangeas and Astrantia

The little posies of Stocks, Roses, Lissianthus, Hydrangeas and Astrantia were in jam jars hanging from the Pew ends

The lovely candlelit Birdcage surrounded by Roses, Hydrangeas, Sweet Peas and Roses sat on the Font at the entrance to Church
All of the Boutonnieres were laid out on the table ready for us to pin them onto their rightful owners
Each of the boutonnieres were created individually by Josie & Vicky using a unique combination of flowers taken from the Bridal Bouquet 
A Boutonniere of "4 Good" Roses with Hydrangea florets and tied with pink ribbons
A Quick Sand Rose with Thalaspi & Astrantia Boutonniere
A White Peony with Hydrangeas and Astrantia Boutonniere

The Stunning & Luscious Red Roses (&White Yorkshire Roses) Wedding Day of Joanne & Steve at Browsholme Hall

Now this was such a vivid and fabulous wedding our gorgeous Bride & Groom had a little "War of the Roses" thing going on, both massive Rugby League fans but their respective teams hailing from either side of the Pennines as a consequence our beautiful Lancashire Bride carried a Bouquet of "Cherry Red" Grand Amore Roses each studded with a diamante and all of the gentlemen from the Lancashire side were wearing Red Rose in their buttonholes and and the Yorkshire contingent including our lovely Groom were wearing White Roses
 The beautifully decadent Bridal Bouquet of deep red "Grand Amore" Roses 
 The scene was set in the magnificent surroundings of Browsholme Hall where the red and the white Roses were equally distributed, two magnificent candelabras framed the Registrars table and Candlelit Hurricane Lamps and fragrant Rose Petals lined the Aisle


On the old oak door just behind the Registrars table hung a Ring of fresh Red & White Roses with Rose Hips and Hydrangeas representing the never ending circle of the "Wedding Rings"


 Our glorious "Baroque" style Candelabras stood like two elegant sentry's framing the space with colour and candle light
On either side of the main doors leading to the Ceremony Hall at Browsholme the two wall lanterns were treated to hanging hearts decorated with corsages of Red & White Roses

The fabulous Chair Covers and aisle carpet were provided by the great folks from Creative Cover Hire
 The Gentlemen from Yorkshire resplendent with their white Yorkshire Roses, our super handsome Bride Groom the very lovely Steve is of course wearing a super special version
 The Bride Groom Steve's Boutonniere included a sprig of fresh Rosemary, Ivy, Thalaspi an Avalanche Rose and a Snowflake Rose Bud with clusters of Snowberry 
 Our Gorgeous Bride Jo was last to arrive...
 She really did take everyones breath away looking utterly stunning

Inside the spectacularly atmospheric Great Hall a glorious array of fresh flowers dressed the tables exquisitely
 One of our stunning large "Baroque" Candelabras dressed with a profusion of Peonies, Stocks, Hydrangeas and Roses with Palms and ivy trails

One of our Floor Standing Candelabras a beautiful design perfect for framing the ceremony in Church or in a civil Ceremony and then afterwards at either end of the Top Table

The central "Trifle Bowl" Design of the Crystal Top Table, Roses, Stocks,  Sweet peas and Peonies tumble over the edges in a creation that looks almost good enough to eat

Adam & Robin from Dance Floor Couture also provide MC services and amazing DJ's


Angela from Samlesbury Hall had a queue of folks all evening waiting to speak with her about their plans for the perfect wedding day, Angela really is the most fabulous banqueting manager
In the kitchens work was under way for the tasting, I wish I'd had time to stay and taste some but wedding appointments wait for no-one and I had to hot foot it back to FD HQ to meet a lovely couple planning a wedding for next Summer!!


We are really looking forward to welcoming many of the Brides & Groom's we met on Wednesday for their first Flower Design Events appointments over the next few weeks!!!

Our truly beautiful Bride the simply stunning Sophie looking utterly breathtaking
To compliment Sophie's beatiful gown I used a combination of "Ruffley", "Blousy" and delicious blooms with sumptuous texture to create this beautiful green and ivory wedding bouquet of White Peonies, Lily of the Valley, Freesia, Roses, Orchids, Sweet Peas and Succulents, the handle was finished with lace and Sophie's own Cameo Brooch
The sun was shining on this splendiferous wedding day, our Olivia was at St Chads Church in Poulton to pin Boutonnieres on some extremely handsome young men 
 The super cool Bride Groom the lovely Steve had a rather a special boutonniere including silver Eryngium Thistles 
 The Ushers were all wearing Boutonnieres including Succulents







 The Boutonnieres and lovely Ladies Corsages were all created in green and ivory shades
 The super glam Groom's Mum was wearing a writ corsage of Phalaenopsis Orchids
 The square in Poulton was full of well wishers when our lovely Bride's Mum & Bridesmaids arrived
 Our elegant Bride's Mum was wearing a wrist corsage of white Phalaenopsis Orchids
 Hayley, Sophie's beautiful Bridesmaid was wearing fresh flowers in her hair
 The Beautiful Bridesmaid's Gown was in a lovely shade of Kiwi Green, Hayley carried a smaller version of the Bride's bouquet including Succulents, Peonies, Roses, Orchids and Green Hypericum

 Our adorable little Flower Girls carried cute Floral Magic Wands and were all wearing flowers in their hair

This wedding was such a joy, the day was blissful with blue skies and brilliant sunshine, our Bride the lovely Claire was so cool and so relaxed when we presented her Bridal Bouquets in one of the fabulous suites at The Grand Hotel in St Annes


The scene was set for the marriage ceremony with two lovely pedestals framing the Registrars Table which was dressed with Delphiniums, Hydrangeas, Roses and Orchids



The fabulous Pedestals were in shades of deep blue and ivory with Blue Delphiniums, White Peonies, Antirhinnums, Calla Lilies and dramatic plumes of fresh Phalaenopsis Orchids

The tall table centres were on our magnificent Crystal Candlesticks, a magnificent fountain style design topped the candlestick an overflowing creation of Blue Delphiniums, Phalaenopsis Orchids, Roses, White Peonies, Calla Lilies and Antirhinnums
On the table top at the base of the crystal candlesticks we'd arranged small vases all dressed with matching ribbons and filled with fresh blooms; Delphiniums, Orchids, Peonis, Eryngium and Antirhinnums

The Stunning Pink Peony Wedding Day of Lisa & Tom at the Magical & Historic Browsholme Hall

Our Gorgeous Bride & Groom had travelled from Australia for this truly "English" Wedding Day, celebrated in the grounds of "Browsholme Hall".  A plethora of gloriously English Country Garden Peonies were the order of the day, the sun was shining and the day was absolutely perfect, beyond the expectations of our happy couple, after all who ever would have expected such beautiful summer weather in Lancashire !!!
~
The Wedding bouquet was a simply perfect confection of Pink Peonies and English Garden Roses in every shade of pink possible 
The sumptuous Bridesmaids Bouquets were these posies of hand gathered Peonies, English Garden Roses and Hydrangeas in shades of pink
Inside the Lower Tithe Barn at Browsholme Hall the scene was set in this cool and atmospheric space, candlelit designs marked the start of the aisle; Hurricane Lamps surrounded by a garden of Delphiniums, Stocks, Roses, Peonies and Hydrangeas
The Registrars Table was dressed with a traditionally English Design two Pillar Candles created a warm and romantic focal point

Two silver Candlesticks topped with spheres of Hydrangeas, Roses, Stocks and Peonies stood on two pedestal stands framing the ceremony space perfectly
This fabulous Vintage delivery Bike with it's Basket of fresh Flowers on the front was a guide for the guests to the wedding ceremony
In the basket we gently arranged Peonies, Roses, Stocks, Sweet Peas, Thalaspi and September flower
In the entrance hall I'd lined up the Boutonnieres ready to pin them on the guests as they arrived

The Bride's Mum had chosen Magnificent English Garden Roses by David Austin "Darcey" to wear as  a Wrist Corsage on a diamante bracelet
